Aligulac gave Curious such a high chance because of his really good ZvZ combined with MKP's TvP means Aligulac expects them to meet in the winner's match, and MKP lost a lot of games to zerg late last year lol

Aligulac calculations have little to no weight. Lucifron has a 55% chance of beating Yoda in a bo7? Oh really? And Stephano 55% chance vs Rain...

Dunno why people like that site so much. Just use your head. Curious is literal no name, his SC2 career is over. Protoss and Terran are doing very well right now, but Soo is a much better player than MKP.

He is wrong about of a lot of things but Aligulac is pretty useless if you want to accurately predict anything.

Aligulac did predict the first three games of EGTL vs. CJ Entus correctly, as well as the overall result of an EGTL victory, which was way better than 90% of us fans were able to do. Pretty much shocked us.

Does this imply that the rest of its dichotomous predictions for EGTL vs. CJ were wrong? Because a coin flip can predict half the results correctly too.

I just thought Aligulac was a fun way to make some players look comparable, when in reality much of the conclusions drawn from it aren't well justified. I didn't know people actually took it as an oracle.

That's definitely an interesting statement.

It's just hard to take seriously a project that puts ForGG as the third best player, and has Lucifron and Vortix as the top two foreigners (with the former ranked as the #13 best player).

I agree that ForGG is overrated, it is one of the biggest flaws with the system so far. That playing a lot of "no-names" in french tournaments gives him too many points.

People should remember that statistics are not the TRUTH, they are an indicator.

And yes, Eivind plays LB blindly trusting aligulac (only single player, not teamleagues), and when he plays, his hitrate is higher than whoever was leading at the time

Still, if you followed his play you'd know Soo is playing much better than the struggling MKP.

Also, last season Curious lost a ZvZ to a guy who got 4-0'd by Snute, and he doesn't have a single accomplishment in the past 2 years. so should be cakewalk for Soo.

Just the Ro4 Code S he got last season is far better than what soO has ever achieved in individual leagues...
