I think DongRaeGu has that game if he just continues to snipe stuff with his mutas. He can deny the 5th from Flying even after it's "secured" using blinding cloud and his mutas.

Hard call to make though. The game def. showed a situation where brood lords are much better than swarm hosts.

He stayed alive for a long time with basically no income with mass muta vs storm. I don't get what expectations people have.

Agreed, which is why I removed my post haha. Because it's not like we have seen actual good Swarmhost usage yet. So for the moment I'll not say anything.

Has given us some great memories and it pains me to see him so clearly crushed.

shouldnt talk to much about winrates of certain units. Dont forget that infestors werent even considered very useful for a long time.

Bullshit, I see pro after pro after pro after pro after pro losing 2-3 swarm hosts over and over and over and over and over again because they are unbelievably careless with them.

jupp bw muta was nice. We have this on Terran now, with Medivacs, get them low and the harassment stops. But Mutas work differently now. They can harass forever unless you kill them. So they need to give everyone units that can easily one shot Mutas or dominate them.

To late to change this now though. And they made Mutas work a bit in direct engagements atleast with an hit and run style which is something nice.

Actually, it feels like that those units aren't as easy to use as other Zerg units, and that majority of pros don't know how to use them. Didn't watch this game, I am at work, but from this thread, I've read that DRG was terrible at using Swarm Hosts.

DRG still without a 5th base, only mining from a few mineral patches at his 4th
DRG keeps killing small armies with his Mutas and now tries to push out with Spines and Swarm Hosts

Flying sees the Hosts and catches them with Force Fields and Storms and kill most of them, only 8 Hosts left
DRG takes out most of Flying's main and denies the 5th once more

Flying takes the 5th at the other side of the map again, DRG sieges it from far away with Swarm Hosts
No more mining for DRG but Flying has almost no unit producing structures left

DRG finally re-takes his 5th but he has the weaker army
Flying tries to corner DRG with his army split up but it doesn't work out

DRG loses his 5th but kills Flying's 5th, the game keeps going back and forth

It's pretty much a stalemate, Flying has the better army but not enough to push into SwarmHost-Spine and DRG keeps killing stuff with his Mutas.
However Flying keeps rebuilding his 5th and sloooooooooooooowly improving his army while DRG is only long-distance mining

48:00min
Flying pushes and kills DRG's 5th once more, DRG kills more buildings in Flying's main
Flying is supply-blocked and has no production buildings but is mining, DRG is not mining

50:00min
The game keeps being interesting because of both players being aggressive and denying bases over and over again
DRG kills more buildings, Flying finally gets out of his supply-block but still hasn't got production buildings

Flying is still not able to corner DRG's mutas but he has enough Cannons and Templar at his 5th now that Mutas are not able to kill it anymore
Flying also keeps building more and more Cannons to prevent basetrades

52:00min
Flyiing tries to attack DRG's 5th but DRG has his Spines, Mutas and Hosts there and is able to repel Flying
Nobody wants to fully commit yet but Flying has the much better position now with his 5th being save and DRG barely mining at all

54:00min
Flying keeps sieging DRG's 5th but DRG is more cost-efficient with Mutas, Viper abducts and Hosts
Flying still has the much bigger army but he has to be careful with sieging DRG

Flying uses excellent Blink Micro and Storms but loses all his HTs
Finally Flying gets enough of a lead to attack DRG's base. DRG tries to defend with everything he got but Flying has just too much stuff

DRG is at 4 supply now, trying to understand what just happened.

DRG types the GG and leaves the game, Flying advances to the Ro16!

Swarm Hosts are just terrible. I can't find any use of them on ladder too. I think there are some scenarios where you can use them but in the end game they are just useless as locusts don't even get to shoot on the protoss deathball as they die before. DRG could have had 20 more mutas if he wouldn't have made SHs and they are soo much more worth...

That's most LR threads. I often work during the gsl games and it's usually impossible to follow what kind of game if someone isn't making a play-by-play since everything else is what you described.
