luckily that is not all! there will be some R16 too afaik.
Yeye i know. Was just saying that the first half of the day will be a very one sided affair, much like yesterday

It is only normal that the players with the best fundamentals are more likely to perfrom well quickly in a new game. And when it comes to fundamentals there simply are more top players in korea.
Foreigners will catch up again to WoL levels at some time. In the mean time, enjo the games by the quality of play and not by the origin of players!
sometimes a bit of creativity and a clever well timed build can beat someone with better "fundamentals" (im kinda assuming that when you say fundamentals you mean mechanics) just look at how ret dismantled MC with his nifty swarm host build.

but if you look at the schedule, what happened to R16? it seems like they are going straight from round 32 to round 8. i guess its a typo and is supposed to say R16?

If you mean the schedule in the op it's clearly just mislabeled. It even says eight matches (obviously 16 players).

Thank you, lol. one of those things that i know in the back of my head (the number of the round is equal to the number of players still in the tournament, not how many series that will be played) but i always manage to forget or confuse in the heat of the moment. kinda like when people have themselves tested for a disease or virus, and the test result is negative (wich means good, youre not infected) most peoples initial reaction is fear and shock because of the simple associations with the word "negative" tells us that its bad, before the brain manages to process the information and people realize that they know that negative is in this scenario means good news.
when i worked at a hospital i would observe that on a daily basis always fun to see look on their face go from shock and horror to the greatest relief. i would really not want to be around if the opposite scenario (especially if it was something serious) happened though if you know what i mean...

Yes, all the Ro16 matches are played tonight.
Excellent. Hopefully Flash plays early because I'm not sure I could handle staying awake until 5AM again :p

But I like watching better players dominate over lesser players.

This is probably the first MLG where i was legitimately wishing for a losers bracket with extended series. having a single elimination tournament right after a new expansion is released and players arent too familiar with all the new units and builds dont make much sense, since good players are likely to lose and get knocked out early because of some wierd timing builds they havent seen before. In a double elimination format you would be able to see these players adapt to that sort of jazz and have potential for some epic comebacks once a player finally figures out how to beat the build or unit composition that knocked him down in the first place.
TLDR: this is the first major hots tournament after HOTS release. players havent figured out the new units yet and there are tons of "cheap" timings out there that top tier players simply have not seen before. cut the players some slack, make it double elemination so we dont have to see fan favourites and top tier players get knocked out because of some new cute timing push that someone just invented. it would be much more fun and educating to watch if they got a second chance to come up with some answer and make an epic comeback against the odds of extended series. Also, mirror matches between some of the best players in the world is the last thing i want to see when a new expansion is out and everybody wants to see how the matchups and meta-game has changed.
Is the KESPA Hero very good? MC's PvP ranges from brilliant to just good depending on the day. It doesn't bode well for MC that his teammate and (probably) training partner lost a PvP 0-3.

CJ herO was looking like one of the best KeSPA players at the end of WoL at least in proleague. He might be headed towards being the next code b bonwja if he keeps not qualifying for the GSL
