That forces the zerg to get overseers while hellion and marine don't.

Sting looks so funny, like a cartoon character.

Looks like Vortix will join Snute in the "officially out of the tournament" area soon.

ps: Anyone remember snute's nordic looking knit hoodie? (where can i get one?). It was blue and white. Yeah, but if you wait for the fungal damage then their mutas just fly away and heal you're screwed. One important question : Fungle does 40 damages to muta How many seconds does an infestor need to be able to cast another fungle ? How many seconds does a muta need to recover its 40 damages ? I think this has a huge influence on the viability of infestors in ZvZ. Energy regeneration is 0.5625 per second and a fungal needs 75energy and does 30damage. Muta health regeneration is 1 per second. So healing up works out extremly well for mutalisks. In the time an infestor regenerates 1fungal worth of energy every mutalisk could theoretically regenerate 133.3 HP. Well, that's huge. You absolutely need to kill some muta when you manage to fungle some of them, are it's bad news for long term play. Well yeah, obviously. That's the same with all units though. S single fungal on marines will get healed by medivas. A fungal on stalkers only damage shields etc....

That was the first time we saw a truly HoTS composition:
Hellbat, hellion buffer, siege and banshee dps. And a raven that was actually useful! Good times ahead.

funny how QXC does everything to justify these games without admitting that terran is just really really strong against zerg.

Vortix handled everything there badly. Everything.

Well as a zerg. It's a good thing to see zergs getting demolished.
At least it will now separated the top tier zergs and the mediocre zergs.

Am I the only one watching the resultpage on liquipedia wanting everyone on the right of the matchlist to keep winning? OCD strikes again

Here Qxc was trying not to say directly that Vortix made a terrible decision by going only queens and lings versus hellion, reaper, WM pressure.

I don't know about "banned" per se. Ret's doing particularly well this tournament, and there's always a chance for a foreigner to upset some Koreans (e.g., when Snute won HSC and actually became somewhat well-respected as a result).
Plus, viewership.

Well that game told us nothing about if terran is OP, I'd argue Vortix has to atleast play decently and make any sense before we can say that push is OP. He had the correct tech, but he built units which the opponets units hard countered, just because...

geez, a lot of people are overrating the results here...
some players practised maybe 1-2 weeks of HotS due to late annoucement of ESL, that's not very much. and such, we don't know how much the zergs practised. viOlet probably practised a lot of HotS and it shows.
anyway, this tournament is way too early to make the final result very meaningful regarding balance. it's fun though, except for some players.

Judging by the remaining sets (and who's on the right side of the article), the rest of the right side could very well win!

Agreed, people are reading way too much into these results. The performances we've seen so far say very very little about balance. The ro12-finals will be more telling than group stages, but even this won't tell that much.
