It is win differential and then number of maps won.

Yoda was 9-4 (diff 5) and Ret 8-3 (diff also 5) so Yoda was 1st because of the 9 wins.

Why would you ever do a 2 base timing as P on Cloud in HotS? I would camp the hell out of my bases and build stuff.

Usually its:

1. head to head
2. map difference
3. map wins

But it might be different here at IEM

70 k viewers on the LoL stream wtf is going on there lol?

Welcome to the real world, where SC2 is less popular than LoL.

Can you explain this to me? I never understeand what is going on there in LoL? I sometimes just check some stream and all I see is random colours jumping all over the place. It just makes no sense to me, I can't even say, what is going on there. Like, what is this?

League and any Dota-like game are hard to follow if you don't know anything about them. League especially because of the ugly art-style (in my opinion, looks a lot worse than DOTA2).

Violet playing very sexy today

I have to agree with this. I've never played league of legends before but I've been watching the stream between sc2 games and I can't follow anything without displaying seizure symptoms after a few minutes. It just seems like total chaos, and this is coming from someone who played dota for years. The art style is a bit much

You are probably even more lost if you watch a professional level Beat'em'up game ;-)

For LoL its really easy to follow if you know the different champs and their skills.
Just imagine if every unit in starcraft could cast some spell and you watch a high level game for the first time without any game knowledge. You probably would just be confused about whats going on.

Nah. Starcraft has a very clear art style, and it's easy to immediately discern different units from each other. LoL has this strange ambient glow on everything that makes it really tough to see the units clearly, especially while they're moving, or when there's tons spell animations everywhere.

sure. i'm not trying to hate on european players at all, i'm just saying Violet's english has improved so much over the last few years and it makes me a happy panda. i remember when he popped up in the war3 scene a few years ago and like most Koreans didn't really speak english at all.

the wording in that ad is so funny. "a laptop when you need it, a tablet when you want it".

sounds like they openly admit tablets don't actually make sense :D

While sc might be a bit easier to watch its by no means easy. For example I played BW only once or twice or something and it is close to unwatchable for me because I have no clue whats going on. It really depends which game you are playing. Personally I have no problem watching dota, LoL or sc2 but I know almost every single LoL player says that Dota is unwatchable for them because they have no idea whats going on. The scheme is really dark a lot of insane long range stuff is going on.

TLDR: if you play the game its watchable, if not not really

He doesn't live in the USA either right now. He switched between US and Korea quite often in the past year.

And it seems we have a new Chapter in SC2 History after Lings of Liberty - rise of the patchzergs:
HotS - demise of the patchzergs.
