Poor MC, his friendship with LG-IM always being a difficult one, now he lost to both First and YoDa.

Yeah, but mediocre foreign zergs are used to beating top korean protosses.

Hopefully HotS is a wake up call for most zergs.

And put Protoss back to sleep. Because there was minimal micro needed for Parting.
Splitting voids ? what's that ?

Face it Protoss is the new zerg

Atleast we know that parting is an awesome player. We'll see if in a while every protoss becomes awesome all of a sudden(and clearly that would be just them playing and practicing really hard, right?). From what I've seen yet, they haven't.

Parting is an awsome player really skilled, so what does that matter ? He needed very little micro to win that battle, and i said this not because it think Parting is bad but because people whine about Slivko's micro yet did not look at what Parting had to do to win those fights.

Because in the least, a boring 1a movefest ended with the better player winning, and thankfully it is showing how great all these superstars that came out of nowhere and have been brutalizing the scene for a year are.

Furtheremore while zerg seems decently weak in HotS, protoss in no way seems as powerful as zerg has been. Slivko just camped against a superior player, expecting his deathball to be greater than his opponents with the end result being the superior player winning hands down, without any effort.

You are right it's forbidden for a foreign zerg to beat a korean.

BTW, should maybe watch some FPvods of these players you're talking about and make a comparison. Maybe control, mechanics, precision and multitasking aren't that relevant in SCII, I still think that they say some things about the dedication of the two players.

BTW maybe you should read a bit more first, this person was talking about all foreign zergs. Not Slivko. And i don't need to watch FPvods to know Parting is the better player i know it's true but that does not mean that all upcoming foreign zerg wins we got over 2012 of WoL were all because of the insane OP of the race.

To be honest I actually feel they are going to nerf prismatic aligment soon, as predicted as Artosis & Incontrol.

and Mech is better than bio in WoL.
Listening to Artosis isn't the best option.

But, it IS better for TvT and TvZ if used correctly.

That's why it has worse results lol.
First of all it's map dependant, nowhere near to be better vZ and no pro players said it was better vT.

It's pretty wierd you actually have stats like these. I wonder where they come from.

Only one meching T had results in 2012: Mvp. And still the GSL he won was against P so playing bio builds.
The best T players all mainly play bio/mech or pure bio: Mkp, Taeja, Bogus, Polt.
Despite having a good winrate Gumiho lost lots of series against players who don't use mech in TvT:
http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/details.php?section=sc2-korean&type=players&id=2106&part=games&vs=T&league=standard&map=any&from_year=2012&from_month=1&from_day=27&to_year=2013&to_month=2&to_day=26&action=Update
Polt had the best 2012 results in foreign tournaments I think, I don't remember a single mech game from him.

I believe they were some stats gathered in late 2012.

Socke has this ability to take series off of the best Koreans, he will probably win at least one bo3. Grubby, Mana, TLO and Stephano all could do it as well.

Then I thought Lucifron would own this tourney, so take my predictions lightly!

ok, you were just commenting on the overall terribleness of it and not meaning both guys were terrible =p

MC's build was really weird. I mean you can get detection from 3 separate sources now as P but he chooses a build that has 0 even after confirming that Yoda had a relatively quick gas.
