they're in that transitional period of once loving it and still watching it but slowly realizing it doesn't do it for them anymore. As they grapple with this, they'll lash out and complain, and when they finally accept it they'll be gone.

You can sue me for it, but I really enjoy SC2 except a select few games that end up being really dull - but you get that in every game, on every level, and in every sport. I guess I need to get medical help or some shit

Artosis needs to stop manipulating the games by putting curses on people. His curses have near 100% probability with a rather large sample size of 10 plus cursed players. This is not a random coincidence anymore, and artosis needs to keep his mouth shut.

I find it ... common. He's right though, it is boring with the exception of a few good games every once in a while. The days of mid-late 2011 where I could open up any stream or tournament VOD and enjoy all of it are long gone.
maybe you should take a break. I'm still very much enjoying all the games I've seen so far, and all I did was missed the last GSL matches
also ZvT and ZvP are great matches, right behind TvT. People talking about dull matches must really be watching games through some zerg hate goggles, because I enjoy high skilled players find out new style to beat a strategy instead of just listening a bunch of noobs bitching about it.
Remember heavy mech with 3/3 thors and banshees was amazing against even zerg late game army (as shown by MVP?). Meta will change again, even if HOTS wasn't release games you will see 3 months from now will be pretty drastically different from what you see now

WTF before yesterday i whole heartily believed that Symbol and Curious were nothing more than good soild round of 16 Zergs. Though both of them played out of their minds.
Curious was especially impressive, everything he did just seemed to be such a perfect decision. And the ability to effectively maneuver his spine spore fields like that in the late game haven't seen someone do that so fluidly, and methodically.
Curious may actually have a higher ceiling than i previously thought.
Pretty confident that Innovation and Parting were not expecting that level of play from their opponents. Reminds me of jakji a bit, always a pretty good player. As soon as he hit the finals just plays out of his fucking mind with skill hasn't been witnessed before.

Pretty sure the elephant standard went out the window when every tournament out there didn't suddenly fill up with superior kespa b-teamers.

I really love wathcing GSL for years now but this last WOL season shows pretty well how the past 3/4 year have been. zergs everywhere, zvz everywhere, I just have enough. symbol played really good, probably better than s3 last year when he was really on fire till he choked vs seed but nonetheless, I just have enough of zerg being 70% on the tournament streams.

Because people hold on to love of the game, even if they find the game boring or stale to watch.
People hold on to watch their favorite storylines make it through: like Taeja bringing a coveted GSL home for TL, or Bosstoss reclaiming his previous glory as a WOL god.
But instead these storylines get snuffed out by zerg players that most don't really care for or don't have an attachment to.
You don't need to get defensive of the meta and criticism against it. It's legacy will be just fine without your pointless defensiveness. True SC2 fans will embrace excellent play AND the storylines it harbors.
I don't know, I'm kind of sleepy so my post might not make any coherent sense, but if the finals are ZvZ again, I'll be the first to call it boring as fuck without watching it because I've already seen some of the best ZvZ ever orchestrated and I personally want to see something new. Plus I'm rooting for Taeja. So.... I'll watch/complain as I see fit. god I need a nap.
