He's on a foreign team. It's not where they're from it's their teams.

Parting is on a Kespa team, so he's a Kespa player. Taeja is on a foreign team so he's a foreign player.

Wow the new bonja is out. The way is clear! Very intersting Ro8. No mirror match up, no actual favorite. There could be 4 zerg in Ro4 or none of them. It's very hard to predict who s going to win this last GSL, its very open now.

I am still cheering for Teaja or MC, but i bet on innovation/bogus.

I don't agree with everyone saying that Life threw that last engagement away. He obviously was counting on winning a base trade, where he'd backstab Parting and then rely on spinecrawler/infestor to hold off the main army. That's a winning strategy and will beat most players.

He didn't count on Parting giving up his third entirely and hard fortifying his natural, making a complete base trade a lot harder to win.

Yes, he could have micro'd his mutas better. But would it really have mattered? He would have still lost his infestors and most importantly the positional advantage because Parting would have killed his spinecrawlers.

So Life could have had half a pack of mutas left over, which is still GG.

Except that fortifying one base has always been Parting's strategy against a muta base trade so it really shouldn't be unexpected since Life was his training partner.

Not clumping the mutas is a huge deal. Back when Thors were used against mutas, engaging them correctly using boxing is a huge huge deal and was one of the skills you needed to learn when controlling mutas. The same applies here. Spread out above the colossus so that Parting would be forced to storm his own units. Parting was so clumped up. With that amount of mutas, the dps should be more than enough to take down all the colossus. After that you just retreat, and use the superior economy to whittle down the main force of Parting. Life had 4 bases then...He could afford to lose 2. But because of the mutas just standing there in storms, the muta dps dropped way too fast for them to finish the colossus.

Not really, the rivalry brings excitement. It's no different then say: AFC vs NFC or East vs West. It's especially fun watching the Kespa doubters get proven wrong day by day. So, I say keep the rivalry.

Not too surprising in a way though. They play in a billion online tournaments. I figured it was going to be Hyun vs someone for his online conquests or maybe TaeJa vs someone from his Korean Weeklies

Especially in late game

That skytoss from Parting vs BbongBbong was just amazing. Who need Tempest or OP new void ray actually? It's already working.
More seriously, its amazing how many new playstyle we met in this last gsl. Ghost in TvZ, skytoss in PvZ, Hydra push in ZvP.

Very cool. It's like HotS give player new ideas.

I'm going to be annoying with this, but^^ can you do korean tournaments only?

Revival and Hyun play a lot of Zotac and ESL cups and since they are less likely to lose to anyone else in these it makes sense that they will match up a lot.

It doesn't bring excitement, it promotes massive amounts of hostility and angst.
It's not friendly banter or competition.
It's people being argumentative/aggravating twats for no reason other than it gives them a reason to do so.
