I am pleased to announce the very first tournament in Starbow!

Time and money
The tournament is to be held at Saturday, Feb 16 5:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00), and continue on Saturday, Feb 23 5:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00) on the EU server.

This will be a casual tournament with a 30€ prize pool. If you would like to sponsor this great event then please PM me.

All players and curious observers join the chat channel "Starbow" on the EU server. Observers are allowed in the games under certain conditions. Read more about it in the wiki page (see buttom page).

Play?
The tournament is open for anyone who wants to participate, but we have set a max on 16 players. You sign up by sending me a PM with your battle.net nick and race. All slots are taken but if you still want to play, just PM me and you go on the back-up list. There may be some you for some reason do not show up and then you will fill in their place.

edit: for the random drawing, may I suggest you use this: http://challonge.com/tournament/bracket_generator ?
There you can make a random seeding and everybody can see that you did it randomly.

this seems fun. Some of the idea's behind the starbow mod are pretty good but overall it kind of lacks some things imo. It's a merge between sc2 and bw in a way that makes it worse than either on it's own imo. Some stuff is really good like replacing colossus with reaver and many more but some changes like using the building pace from bw more are just bad imo.
Overall the unit design is better than sc2 though making it quite interesting, if only it didn't try to change stuff like pathing and game pace so much..

I'm just wondering... I live in the U.S. What is 30€ in $, and how would that work XD?

Prolly not an issue. Also, how would you feel about having other casters help out :D? I would love to bring in more youtube casters, even co-casters would be pretty nice too.
