Haha that bracket ! If VortiX had gone through the group stage instead of Kas, we'd have had LucifroN-VortiX in RO12.

Btw, I love the Kas/LucifroN/Socke bracket and the bottom one (YoDa/PartinG/Grubby) is really scary.

First the only Korean in the upper bracket.
Here is hope for a foreigner in the final (Socke? Lucifron?).

I feel starcraft is a very snowbally game and the patch has definetely an impact. We had 10 zerg players in round of 24. in round of 12 there are only 2 left. When did something like this happen in the last 10 month?

i was often wondering in engagements, what if it's would still have upgrades. If its an imbalance, i think you cant tell yet, but it definetely impacts the games

But are there any Zergs you think that actually got upset? Other than Kas over Vortix and TLO over Snute (which cancels out), I don't think the representation is too surprising. Take for example the two Korean Zergs, I'd place all the other Koreans before them w/o hesitation.

Agreed. All the Zergs in this tournament are bad except for Nerchio, and he hasn't been in top form lately.

I thought Snute was the next "best foreigner", so now he's bad all of a sudden? Damn, it's hard to keep up.

Snute wasn't ever the either the "next best foriegner" or the next "best foreigner" imo.

He won the "next zerg bonjwa of the month" award in december though.

Very prestigious award, that one.

Well, today was not a very great day, so maybe these should be taken with a grain of salt. But still, Parting's so far ahead of anyone else remaining (except... Lucifron?) that it's kinda ridiculous.

16-man single elimination bracket

Most likely winners:
      PartinG: 76.40%
      First: 11.35%
      LucifroN: 4.98%

      YoDa: 0.70%
      Grubby: 0.29%
      Socke: 0.21%
      Daisy: 0.14%
      MaNa: >0.00%
      Nerchio: >0.00%

Life expectancy:
      PartinG: 3.65 rounds (win)
First: 1.87 rounds (lose in the semifinals)
Dream: 1.74 rounds (lose in the semifinals)
TLO: 1.68 rounds (lose in the semifinals)
LucifroN: 1.31 rounds (lose in the quarterfinals)
Kas: 1.19 rounds (lose in the quarterfinals)
Daisy: 1.19 rounds (lose in the quarterfinals)
Socke: 1.09 rounds (lose in the quarterfinals)
YoDa: 0.62 rounds (lose in the quarterfinals)
Grubby: 0.47 rounds (lose in the round of 16)
Nerchio: 0.12 rounds (lose in the round of 16)
MaNa: 0.07 rounds (lose in the round of 16)

I mean the upper part of the bracket.
Its even 2 in ro16, so 5 total, but only First in the upper part.

The infestor was severely nerfed recently, and many Zergs didn't have time to adjust. I remember Golden was talking about it specifically. Plus, the Zergs at this tournament are not the elite top-tier (such as Life, Leenock, DRG, Stephano, etc.) The best Zerg in attendance, Nerchio, still managed to advance, but his play seemed subpar (made 3 infestation pits in 1 game).
