even tho he is playing better then hero and dong in PL. Hero has proved himself far more outside of PL. JYP hasn't done much in the past year. Except what's more important in PL is.... what happens in PL. JYP is putting out better results than Hero in PL.

exactly. Foreigners should only be used against lesser teams. Only strong players should've been used for this match up.

Not a map you want to send out a protoss vs a zerg.
Jyp looked so upset.
it's 2013. Why aren't these decisions just being made over a skype app or something. Not the first time this has happened. I'm not even a big EG-TL or Jyp fan... a few of these choices just seem a little non-nonsensical to me.

Can you all saying taeja should be out now? If you were such fan of Taeja/liquid, shouldn't you know this by now??
He was there. He just couldn't play.

I agree... Though I also don't think JYP has the nerves for an ace match either. MAYBE better than Hero I guess, but hard to say. He was sweating and looked pretty damn nervous before the game had even started.

This! JYP wasnt a bad choice and he really played with this whole heart. I was cheering for Huk to secure his win but meh T.T; He must feel very bad

That's ridiculous. Maybe there is an issue with the map, maybe there isn't. Judging that from a single game isn't generally a very logical idea. However, it's the teams and the player's responsibility to be prepared. They've had ample time with the changes of the armour of the rocks. Hydra/CJ clearly prepared well for this change, while JYP/EG-TL clearly didn't.

sending our a P vs Z... fail, no matter who the P is.

I think that TaeJa or even Revival would have been better in the ace slot on that map. Also sucks that Jaedong wasn't there to be used.
If only JYP surrounded his cannon might have been a diffrent story I love JYP but I just don't think he is an ace. He is really good in the 2,3,4 or 5 slot though.

We need huk and jyp in the booth. How else are people going to see the monster logo?

On January 12 2013 19:20 Angelbelow wrote: This reaction from some of you guys is probably the most disappointing part. Yeah, pretty much. People complaining about "map imbalance" because you have to prepare your FE slightly differently. It's not imbalance that JYP failed to prepare for PvZ on this map.
Although it's pretty lame that you can't ladder on these Proleague maps in SC2. Had that been possible, JYP probably wouldn't have gotten caught off guard so easily. Even top level pros including players on KeSPA teams rely on ladder to practice. In BW, you just hopped on a third party server like ICCUP and could ladder on tons of different maps...I hope Blizzard comes up with a solution to this soon.

Taeja had operation Hero's confidence would be shattered to the abyss if he lost Tzain probably not as strong as JYP against Z. JYP logical choice. I just dont like sending him out on that sort of map.

u guys are seriously blaming the map? why send out a protoss then? its the lack of preparation on which the blame should be placed.

even tho he is playing better then hero and dong in PL. He's playing great in proleague. He definitely belongs there. But at the same time the team does seem a little bit overcoached. Too much "so-and-so's a PvZ sniper, so and so is better at this map, etc.", and too little emphasis on just getting your 4 best players out on maps that they've prepared on.

JYP played an excellent game aside from the fact that he was caught off guard in the beginning, rather unfortunate that such a small mistake cost him game but hey you have to come prepared for these things if you expect to do well

Except for the fact MKP has actually carried his team to GSTL Finals victories.
