It's not, it's the biggest myth in all of SC2 and it's fucking stupid.
Terran has a LOSING record on Antiga vs Z and P in 2012. People are just morons.
Assuming Sniper and HyuN gets to pick from the tier 4 players (I doubt GOM will change much since this is last season of WoL), I think there is a good chance one of them will pick Huk.

He consistently shows he's not ready for Code S. Nothing cruel about that.
You certainly know that is not how SC2 works, with so much volatility in the short run. Alone the fact that in both groupstages he was tied in games with the players that advanced. Not always the most deserving players get through.
But of course, he had all the chances to advance and only himself to blame. I still feel it is a bit cruel coming so close 3x in a row.

I could see Huk and stephano being picked since they are relatively strong zvz and zvp players
I think this format isn't good because i see every persons who already advance or no chance to advance give their game to the people they love. I think ESF players give their win to ESF friend to prevent KESPA players in code S. According to low KESPA players, it is hard for KESPA to advance. I think

The three base terran play and constantly denying the zerg's fourth while taking your fourth is pretty good vs Zerg.
You can't take your fourth because of the creep. And three base terran ain't enough to deny the zerg fourth, as shown in this game. ByuN was even ahead in upgrades lol.
are you trying to say 3 base Zerg > 3 bast terran?
No I'm saying I don't understand how antiga is supposed to be terran favored.
because if the terran wants to he can prevent the Zerg from ever holding a 4th so the Zerg has to 3 base all-in
You are saying ByuN did want SymboL to hold his fourth? He could not prevent it.
all im saying is Symbol was in a bad spot early game, threw away 8 roachs for 4 SCVs then somehow Symbol manges to quickly get 5 bases and hold all of them

Since you are so clever and know this game so well, why don't you englighten us and tell us what Byun should've done to kill that 4th base of symbol?

I could see them both picking some terran players...

its not that big bullshit, the EsF players are probably at least worried about KeSPA palyers and if your already guaranteed to advance and your palying a friend your not going to fight tooth and nail, never give up never surrender to win your jsut gonna treat it as a practice game or ladder match that your gonna try to win but not really cling to that much

i dont see why he didnt marine tank, slow push the middle base while using drops against the farther away base as multiprong
instead he just seemed to throw away his early game advantage and not really do much of anything

well, as far as I know, they have to pick out of the tier4 players... I don't know who will be on that list for terran, so in the end it may very well be Huk, who has a bad vZ too.

Lol? He wasn't in a bad spot wtf. His pressure kind of worked because he was able to creep spread comfortably and establishes his economy in the meantime. He was like 60-64 harvesters to ByuN's 48 with his third base already taken, he then was able to pump out units while taking his fourth at the time ByuN securised his third.
They both played a pretty good game and if it was that much terran favored ByuN would have won easily, trust me.

Yeah...... No, the players have a little more respect for competition than you think. Especially byun who was previously caught in the act before.

what? I admit that JD is not good enough for Code S but the format i i think it is wrong

the GSL format doesnt really fit his style he saids that hes not the type to plan out a build so his opponents are going to come into the game with an anti-stephano build and hes gonna do his normal builds
that probably wont be too big a deal until after group play since its unlikely that theyll be able to spend too much time making anti-stephano build and it takes a good player to be able to pull that off anyway

His ZvZ is not even high Code B level. His ZvT is fantastic, shown in his success even before the Queen patch. He engages better than almost any other Zerg.
His ZvP, while not as dominant as it was in the era of the roach max, is still very strong and good enough to take games off of most Code S toss players on any given day. So, I don't know if he will "prove himself"-- as if he gets a group with many Zergs, well he simply isn't going to beat world class Zergs in a best of 5-- but he definitely can beat any Terran on the planet and I would favor him over many Terrans in Code S.
