Gumiho: Clutch teamleague monster, 2 GSTL titles 8. MC: Always there or thereabouts, however he is very inconsistent. 9. Seed: Broke the Protoss duck in GSL. 10. HerO: Consistently good play
I'd stick in Rain, but he's not been around for the whole year. He's also just dropped to Code B. If he showed the kind of play we've seen from him so far, over a longer period he'd 100% be in here. Is this for player of the yar? How could mkp not crack top 10 for what he did in the first half of the year and now back to back ro8 code S? He hasn't made deep Code S runs, or had a good spell over foreign tournies in different periods. That said, not his fault that Prime can't send him everywhere. If he'd have won WCG he probably would have made it in but he didn't do that well there alas. Parting likewise, much as I love him didn't quite do it for me. That and the glasses. He looks like what Elton John would look like if he was reincarnated as a Korean progamer. Come on HerO for game 2! That was a bit sloppy on his part, but that pathing is ridiculous. Daybreak is a terrible map anyway, surprised people aren't more vocal in having it removed I don't see how Gumiho can be ranked above marineking Marineking won a MLG championship and a MLG arena. 3rd at another MLG. Gumiho only made it past the ro32 of Code S 1 time this year. every other season he lost in the ro32 including one season where he lost to Thorzain Marineking made it to the ro16 or higher in every season of Code S this year. Gumiho won 2 GSTLs. sure. Marineking won 1 GSTL where he 4 killed in the finals and led the GSTL season with the best record. Sure, Gumiho is the better player right now, but for the whole year? no way The first half of 2012 before Taeja's explosion was the year of MKP. He was unstoppable in like every match up. His games against DRG in the MLG arena's were just unreal. Gumiho has been more consistent throughout the whole year. But MKP's peak was way higher this year. How is losing in the ro32 every season more consistent than making ro16 or ro8 every season? MKP has been doing shitty outside of GSL for like the last 4-6 months. Whereas, to my knowedge, Gumiho hasn't been getting knocked out of tournies by no name zergs and trimaster.

I was still laughing way too hard about that "minerals being mined video"... but here is what I've seen through my tear-filled eyes (from laughter): Hero attacks violet defends with drones, roaches, and lings. Violet on 4 bases pursuing greater spire, Hero on 3 base going for some Warp-prism play. Seems like standard stuff so far?

Well, when he played demuslim he was delaying making infestors till he had broodlord tech going up. So yeah, he's playing better than yesterday.

Gumiho just performs better in GSTL, and MKP is just in a major slump right now back to back top 8 in Code S is a major slump now? he got 2-0 by ColTrimaster (or another Col terran) at MLG >_> this just in, losing one game or not winning a tournament doesnt mean you are in a slump!
How dare you imply that a player is only not slumping when he wins every game he plays and places 1st in every tournament in the world? Lunatic.

HerO's going for a pre-brood timing with stalkers and a few collosi plus the standard mix of a few sentries. He's not against Broods yet but Violet's got spines at his 4th.
HerO looks like he may have it!

I'm really bad at LR... but...
17:00 Stalkers and Colossi destroy everything. Corrupters fall, roaches get lazer beamed. Hero takes the game. Someone actually good at this help?

Life, Taeja and Leenock got in for their individual league play, Gumiho got an allkill and a 3kill in consecutive GSTL finals, a close-to-unique achievement this season and was no scrub in the regular season. Like Seed he showed an individually impressive achievement, to me anyway. That and his style is the world's sexiest when he's on song.
Come on HerO. Rain/Creator style 3 base timing, you got dis. Taeja got a ton of rep for the IPL TAC performance. Basically all killed or got 4 kills on every top korean team and almost double all killed IM in the finals. To me that is better than Gumiho or MKP to be honest. Those guys had way better supporting line ups. For Taeja it was literary Team Taeja.

Wow, Hero ahead in supply the whole game, I've never saw a Protoss behind ahead in supply ! Insane ! GG WP !
