None of the top EG-TL players were used, and a 4-0. So disappointing.

Maybe the maps had something to do with this as well.

It has been said before in the thread but these results for the EG-TL team will vary based on who shows up. When Taeja/Stephano and crew are there I doubt if they lose a match. When they are not there it's going to be tough for this team. The biggest advantage the kespa teams have in this is their commitment to the format: minimal globe-trotting and massive preparation. It's going to be hard for pure skill to overcome that (not saying Kespa players are not as skilled, just that they will have a huge advantage over a foreign team that pays its bills by traveling constantly).

Yeah... zeno, jyp, thorzain, and jaedong are good, but where were your anchors at? I'd love to know why EG-TL chose Zenio, JYP, and Thorzain to compete rather than Taeja, Hero, and Stephano. Best analogy I can think of is having your 2nd stringers starting the game.

PL teams also sent their Aces to MLG during Proleagues last season.

A team without big Korean sponsors entered Proleague, presumably to compete. Commitment is required to be competitive in Proleague. It's normal to compare them to the teams they're competing against.

How they handle the business side of it is their own problem, not mine to consider or care about. But if they're planning to do this in between flying all over the world for individual events, streaming, and other things foreign teams generally do with their players, they're going to lose. Badly.
