None of the top EG-TL players were used, and a 4-0. So disappointing.

Maybe the maps had something to do with this as well.

Just watching VODs, holy shit what a beast mode from Flash, his resources are barely going above 200, and his harras while macroing hard behind...I'm impressed

you guys are so fucking harsh
it's their first proleague match ever
it's the opening day of the first sc2 proleague ever
it's the first time for most of them to play in the boot

you have no clue what kind of pressure you get from that

Hope this brings the EG-TL players down to earth and will motivate them to practice like the same amount as the other korean teams.

It has been said before in the thread but these results for the EG-TL team will vary based on who shows up. When Taeja/Stephano and crew are there I doubt if they lose a match. When they are not there it's going to be tough for this team. The biggest advantage the kespa teams have in this is their commitment to the format: minimal globe-trotting and massive preparation. It's going to be hard for pure skill to overcome that (not saying Kespa players are not as skilled, just that they will have a huge advantage over a foreign team that pays its bills by traveling constantly).

Most people here are mocking the people who conveniently removed those reasons you listed when making predictions pn who would emerge victorious

Yeah... zeno, jyp, thorzain, and jaedong are good, but where were your anchors at? I'd love to know why EG-TL chose Zenio, JYP, and Thorzain to compete rather than Taeja, Hero, and Stephano. Best analogy I can think of is having your 2nd stringers starting the game.

I don't think a single EG-TL member that played tonight has higher than 46% win rate this year. KT didn't send a player out tonight that had less than a 57% win rate this year. Would be really interesting to hear the EG-TL's coaches mindset in setting their roster up. It just doesn't make sense to me, at all.

It would make a whole lot more sense if you READ THE POST FOUR POSTS BEFORE YOU.

manner. I opened up the reply box and between watching STX vs SK Telecom and looking at TLPD it was ~30 minutes before I hit the post button oO That reply was made somewhere in the middle lol. Take a deep breath! Its all good dood.

Personally, if EG-TL can't give 100% to SPL I would rather they didn't commit to it. I don't want to see our foreign banner getting run over because we have to many irons in the fire. I want to see total domination, or at the very least, I want to see the best we have to offer T.T;

For the hundredth or so time in this thread... NASL is in 12 hours. You expect HerO or TaeJa to go to IPL5, come back to Korea for this match, and go back to California for NASL the day of this match?

A Proleague team wouldn't let their only two decent players play in some American tournament while the match was going on, would they? Pull the players from NASL and get them to grind inhouse games for their match.

It's the same story as Liquid in GSTL all over again. All show, no commitment.

Proleague teams also have big Korean sponsors which allows them to do this... This comparison is just stupid.

PL teams also sent their Aces to MLG during Proleagues last season.

A team without big Korean sponsors entered Proleague, presumably to compete. Commitment is required to be competitive in Proleague. It's normal to compare them to the teams they're competing against.

How they handle the business side of it is their own problem, not mine to consider or care about. But if they're planning to do this in between flying all over the world for individual events, streaming, and other things foreign teams generally do with their players, they're going to lose. Badly.
