His group was full of bad players, a bit of luck made sure he was the least bad.. Still good results, not everybody can make WCG, they are mostly champions of their countries. Team liquid is too biased against him. CombatEX only went to WCG because 1. AlexCMoi dropped out and 2. Canada's top 10 players didn't even try to qualify.
Doesn't matter. Beating Killer, Adelscott, fraer and Jimrising is really impressive.

Yep. He cannon rushed a few people and won some Bo1s. Grats. If he beats PartinG, then we can talk. You are trying too hard. Relax. Trying too hard at what? Not giving a BMing, cheesy, former cheater his dues?

No one is saying that CombatEx isn't bm, cheesy or a former cheater.
We are saying that he went 4-1 in a group with pretty good players and advanced to the brackets. That is good regardless of how he got there or his past.

By definition of the word "better," the better player always wins.
CombatEx may not beat them consistently, but he won when it mattered.

  that if

Nobody knew, they didn't even try, so they don't even qualify as losers in WCG. Combat-EX is a better player in WCG than them. Give credit where credit is due.

No one knows. There's no point in speculating right now.
Only thing that matters is that he went 4-1 in his group against decent players, and oh boy I cant even begin to tell you how happy it makes me.

that is a pointless statement. flash, jaedong, rain, and soulkey didn't come to any of the USC lans, so they don't even qualify as losers in them. therefore i am a better player in the USC lans than flash and co. that is technically true but it is absolutely useless for qualifying relative skill level.

  Your logic:
"CombatEX has historically been superior to DongRaeGu at WCG! He's a better player at WCG! DongRaeGu didn't attempt to qualify, he's a WCG loser!"
