IdrA's been screaming that Terrans should be using ghosts in the late game, and I'm starting to think he's right.

Idra doesn't play Terran and he thinks Marines can counter banelings.

Unlike foreign terrans, which just whine about infestors, korean terrans actually work out ways to deal with them.

Meh. I just feel like Terrans have been stubborn since the Ghost Nerf in Jan/February. They nerfed Snipe and stopped making them when EMP still pwns Infestors. Terran's have been using Ghosts to beat HT since the game came out but are just now bringing them back into TvZ after almost a year? I don't get it.

You two just really hate Terran, lol

I kinda wish GSL did what SPL does and interview the winning player after a good game about the game.

Not everyone can split like MKP.

Let's be honest, Life didn't play his best. He has serious problems with Zerg lategame control. He kept massing Corrupters against massed M&M army, which didn't do him much good.

I do know that GuMiho could just switch to Vikings and kill off the BL's, but he didn't, right?

He could have earlier but he never went over 2 starports. he upgraded +1 ship weapons but then like you said Life overmade corruptors so making vikings would be pointless

I think it's a great style to pull out once in a while, I'm not sure it's robust enough to become stock TvZ. I mean Gumiho played really, really, really well that game, Life missed nukes and didn't pull workers on at least one occasion, let ghosts drop right onto his infestors in one of the engagements and it was still relatively close.

If you COULD play that way all the time vZ and win I'd really love it, was exciting to watch but Gumiho's the only one I've seen pull it off thus far. He played similarly against a Kespa player in the GSL a few months back, albeit without going pure bio the whole game but other Terrans are either unwilling or unable to adopt that style, just yet.

Not really. Life played very poorly for his standards. He had a bad opening that was directly countered, never took map control, responded late to almost every single drop, overmade corruptors, did not scout his opponent's base with overseers or changelings, was constantly caught out of position by the ghosts, and forgot to get baneling speed.

I only caught about 6 minutes onward (that shouldn't matter, but it could have swayed my opinion). Perhaps I was just enamored by Gumiho's multitasking and tactical decisions to oversee Life's flaws. The infestors to defend and BLs to attack seemed weird. Would definitely like to see it against someone who responds better.

We technically did. Polt did the same build and play against Sniper in GSTL yesterday. But Sniper just went mutas and crushed it before the game ever got off the ground.

It's not at all similar to that style given the notable lack of tanks, defensive planetaries and ghosts being used primarily to snipe tier 3 units
