Considering we only have a single OSL season to compare, and that, while GSL champions change, we see pretty much the same faces at each Ro32, it's pretty safe to say staying in GSL is a decent parameter for deciding who's on top

I do agree the community does overhype everyone, but I feel rain deserved his hype as all his good results were in a very short fashion, I imagine he's still going to do extremely well for at least another 6 months, kinda like Taeja and then slump ![]()

But for the sake of "speaking their language", they seem to think he's bad, I'll just say he's bad. The only point I wanted to get across was his MLG run was not bad by any means I don't think rain lost the series because he played bad, dream just completely outplayed him. Dream will get far this season if he continues to play like he did.

Rain almost won OSL and GSL in the same month (And BC Asia like a week later). What he's accomplished in such a short amount of time, WHO he beat, and HOW he beat them are important to consider. He seemed to be raising the skill ceiling of toss play when we first saw him. He got knocked out of the BWC by Creator in a pvp, and this is the first time we've actually seen somebody outplay him outright, and to Dream's credit a lot of people have thought that he was this good and he played the best PvTs I've seen him play.

So did Rain really get outplayed today? Was it more Rain playing sloppy or was his opponent super good ? Well at least we still have Bogus. Imagine the hype if he gets to the finals of GSL. Tasteless Voice (during the GSL finals): Is Innovation the next Zerg bonjwa?!!! But really, if it weren't for the KeSPA players, I think I'd be bored with SC2. Specifically, I always like it when new comers come out of no where and start owning it up.

Rain also looked sleepy whenever they showed him.

I have nothing against the dude but the fanboyism in the forum was just too much to bear.

MLG was weeks ago and KR to Shanghai is like 2 hours with only a one hour time diff. That's nothing. Most domestic flights in NA are longer than that with a greater time zone change. I don't think it is about the actually 'travel/jetlag'. It has more to do with the fact that you are not in the team house for 4-5 days when going to weekend tournaments. Again, this is not to say that Rain would have won IF he didn't have to travel. It is just one of the many factors. IE Players can be sick or some issue at team house, etc. But we saw this with players like MC, Polt as well when they started attending a lot of foreign events. The decrease in the amount of quality practice will eventually catch up to you.
