Flashhhhhhh!!!!!! Woo, glad he made it through. Also, why was wolf using the traveling excuse for Rain? MLG was weeks ago and KR to Shanghai is like 2 hours with only a one hour time diff. That's nothing. Most domestic flights in NA are longer than that with a greater time zone change.

Wow, I wake up and Rain's hype train has been derailed and sent crashing into Code B?

Watch him win the next OSL or something. It's time people start realizing that code B/A/S means pretty much nothing and GSL as a tournament doesn't determine anything except who the GSL champion is.

Your opinion is not a popular one, but I agree with it.

Considering we only have a single OSL season to compare, and that, while GSL champions change, we see pretty much the same faces at each Ro32, it's pretty safe to say staying in GSL is a decent parameter for deciding who's on top

Yes he's incredibly overhyped with his top 3/8 finish of MLG, top 3 at BWC, winning OSL and semi finals of GSL all in a month, god what an overhyped piece of trash.

Rain deserved his hype considering how extremely well he did in the past month.

I'd personally say that for the amount of stuff he actually did, he has been overhyped. then again, this community overhypes everyone haha

I don't think he's been overhyped, I don't watch him but his achievements in a month and having only played sc2 for not even a year is very impressive.

I do agree the community does overhype everyone, but I feel rain deserved his hype as all his good results were in a very short fashion, I imagine he's still going to do extremely well for at least another 6 months, kinda like Taeja and then slump .
When I think of something else, something will go here

oh, taeja was definitely overhyped. some combination of carrying an otherwise unremarkable team and winning a few well-publicised but otherwise weak foreign tournaments. not bad (probably top 3 terran and top10 player), but not number one lol

I want to say I'm feeling good Flash made it, but I can't help but see utter doom in his future since today he was so close to losing in his best match-up. Looking ahead at the rest of brackets, hopefully Fantasy carries the Kespa banner (no one cares about Bogus man) as players in his bracket is much more manageable than say MVP.

You're wrong people do care about Bogus, or at least I do. Always liked him since his BW days.

Wasn't trying to insult him, I was more poking fun at STX and their lack of fans.

ByuL so smart on game 2 setting up squads to snipe planetary fortresses. his first timing was with a big ling+baneling force and then later it was an ever scarier baneling+ultra force...

Dunno why people keep hating on Flash, even the top players lose games against code-b players. SC2 is just very volatile.

Oh wow. Rain is out of the GSL. LOL! So much for his decision to go to MLG.

Well, if he's lost to Dream, he would've had a hard time in Code S...
(Considering his MLG results as well...)

"Considering his MLG results"..? He got 5/6th. That's pretty damn good. He lost to Leenock twice, which everybody know how much of a beast he is. Extended series also didn't do him any favours.

Let's repeat it one more time : He lost to Dream. I thought you couldn't go down faster than Seed did by losing to Center, but apparently you can.

You're right. Losing to Dream is terrible. But let that be the focus point, there's no reason to say his run at MLG was bad, when in fact it wasn't.

You say that like Dream played poorly or didn't also get top8 at an mlg event or that rain hasn't been traveling constantly for like a month.

I don't think Dream is a bad player, and I didn't watch the games. But for the sake of "speaking their language", they seem to think he's bad, I'll just say he's bad. The only point I wanted to get across was his MLG run was not bad by any means

I don't think rain lost the series because he played bad, dream just completely outplayed him. Dream will get far this season if he continues to play like he did.

It's all about context. Rain almost won OSL and GSL in the same month (And BC Asia like a week later). What he's accomplished in such a short amount of time, WHO he beat, and HOW he beat them are important to consider. He seemed to be raising the skill ceiling of toss play when we first saw him. He got knocked out of the BWC by Creator in a pvp, and this is the first time we've actually seen somebody outplay him outright, and to Dream's credit a lot of people have thought that he was this good and he played the best PvTs I've seen him play.

Agreed. But sadly, due to the MLG-KeSPA partnership, they had to agree.

So did Rain really get outplayed today? Was it more Rain playing sloppy or was his opponent super good ?

Well at least we still have Bogus. Imagine the hype if he gets to the finals of GSL.

Tasteless Voice (during the GSL finals): Is Innovation the next Zerg bonjwa?!!!

But really, if it weren't for the KeSPA players, I think I'd be bored with SC2. Specifically, I always like it when new comers come out of no where and start owning it up.

Rain was sloppy as hell and this was Dream's best performance ever. Rain also looked sleepy whenever they showed him.

Is Rain out of GSL, and must start from scratch? (off-line prelim) Good.

I have nothing against the dude but the fanboyism in the forum was just too much to bear.

I don't think it is about the actually 'travel/jetlag'. It has more to do with the fact that you are not in the team house for 4-5 days when going to weekend tournaments. Again, this is not to say that Rain would have won IF he didn't have to travel. It is just one of the many factors. IE Players can be sick or some issue at team house, etc.

But we saw this with players like MC, Polt as well when they started attending a lot of foreign events. The decrease in the amount of quality practice will eventually catch up to you.
