Because Nerchio's record is better than TLO's and he should be in second, not third. wins > wins-losses afaik That makes no sense... So someone who went 3-1 (6-2) would be lower than TLO's 3-1 (7-5)? In no world is that correct. it does make sense in a way... rewards you for winning a set against a better opponent more than dropping sets vs opponents you beat anyways but yeah its kinda funky
It also doesn't punish you for losing games at all.

What's team liquid's policy on players throwing games? Will Hero be punished even though he's one of TL's best?
|
Yeah, really wanna see what tl has to say about hero throwing that game
|
Who did HerO throw a game against?

Crazy that SaSe is 1-3 (5-6) and Bly is 2-2 but only 4-6... poor SaSe i'd like to see him move on, but taking 1 game off everyone isn't enough, hopefully Feast beats Bly but loses to SaSe

well considering he only lost 1 game vs Ret

I don't think TL will punish him in any way, no other team punishes their players for helping out their teammates by throwing games. It's a precedent I doubt they want to set either, because there's no way to make sure other teams will go along with it and punish their own players for the same thing. TL gets bad press, Hero gets bad press, nothing is accomplished.

WOW TLO has improved a lot.

Just glad Hero and Taeja got through this, and TLO looking like he's gonna make it. Dreamhack is certainly the Liquid tournament ^_^

Ya...forgg is totally the favourite for this tournament

Stephano needs to 2-0 Snute and either fraer or STC need to lose for him to advance, I think. If he goes 2-1, fraer or STC have to lose 0-2. If he loses, he's out no matter what. Of course, if Snute goes on a 3-kill streak, that would complicate things again and two of the other players might not make it depending on map score. Forgive me if I made mistakes, I wrote that from the top of my head, I don't have the bracket in front of me.
Stephano/Fraer/Stc are all 2-2, so if he beats snute and snute defeats one of Fraer/STC, thats enough for him, because 3-2>2-3 regardless of map-score. The good thing for Stephano is, that Snute advancing over both; Fraer and STC would not bother him, as he would advance with Snute/Taeja in this case. If Snute beats Taeja and loses to one of Fraer/STC, Stephano could still be out, even if Snute beats the other one.

You can't really say he dropped the game, when rets pretty much guaranteed to be out anyway, even if it happened it would have been hard for ret to make it. No reason to punish him when their is no 100% proof and in no way has it affected the tournament results and it shouldn't with ret's match score of 1-3

It doesn't matter if it doesn't effect tournament results. If their are rules in relation to dropping games, then you enforce them no matter what.
However, I do agree. If the evidence isn't there that he did in fact drop games deliberately, then nothing should be done.
