Creator should take out Hyun imo. MKP vs Ryung seems reaaaaally hard to call, but I'm def rooting for MarineKing!

Hope it's going to be a spectacular series nonetheless. Yeah, I always feel like GomTV best of 5 series are either extremely close neck and neck series or are a complete stomp through and through. I expect 3-2 super close, or one of the two will be a few steps above the other and take it 3-0.

I think Hyun/MKP to go forward, though. IPL.Hyun 5-1'd Parting. Hopefully GSL Hyun does at least close to that well. But two PRIME players in the semis would be sooooo cool.

Still, as current IPL champion Hyun should at least manage to make the Ro4. Hyun's progress in Starcraft is rather interesting, I have to say. I think he started playing almost a year ago and had some hype around him as an elephant representative. He passed the Code A prelims and qualified after only a few months of playing, but then showed horrible gameplay, which killed a lot of the hype around him. Of course there was an anti-elephant in the room mood those days. His play didn't improve that quickly, he kept getting better but even several months after his initial successes he had really weird transitions, kept on lair tech way too long and so on. I think he's only been like a championship contender (disregarding his nerve issues) for maybe three months now, so you could say he caught up with the eSF players in about 9 months. This isn't directly applicable to the KeSPA players though, you can't just say they'll also catch up in that time period. There's a few reasons: initially the kespa players had coaches that didn't know the game, they had no good practice partners in the team house, they had to keep practicing brood war, they were under a lot of pressure to immediately perform which might affect training style. On the other hand, they do probably have a more rigid schedule than the eSF teams and certainly there have to be more talented SC2 players than Hyun around. The KeSPA players started to seriously practice in maybe April, so I think it's reasonable to still call them up and coming. I think there's a good chance they'll have improved relative to the eSF players by the next three months or so.
