What crawled up your butt? Can't people root for a favorite player? Go back to the dark little pit you came from please.

One of them even 4-0'd the Group of Death. ;o So 300 million Americans managed to produce better players than 40 million spaniards?Impressive That being said, its a very impressive (and surprising) result indeed.

Uhm, we have a new 'best player in the world' every couple of days because it's hard to be consistent in SC2, not because the community says so, get your facts straight. Also nobody expected IdrA to perform so well, especially in such a group, so it's unsurprising people express excitement about his performance. If the magnitude of it aggravates you, you can just leave the thread.

Nobody is expected to make it into the finals, and only 4 people are expected to lose in the RO16 at the same time? Mathematically it makes sence, even with 75% chances of winning each round your chance of winning 3 in a row are (0.75)³ = =0.421875, so below 50%. Noone is expected to win three times in a row; the possibility of winning 2 times after already having won one game (starting a new calculation at that point) are higher though, so eventually someone will be expected to make the final.

You need to be an overwhelming favourite to expect to win. Of course there is a probability 100% that someone will win. Consider this thought experiment: what if all 16 players were equally good? Then they would all have the same life expectancy (lose in the quarter finals I believe). It makes more sense then. They can't all be expected to win, and if one is exected to win, then they all must be (by symmetry).

Yeah there is a serious lack of foreign terrans its depressing. I sincerely hope this patch changes that with the help of Bogus "innovating" some sick new timings to copy.
