Its the top 8 for players from ALL over the world. Not the korean championship.

So you're saying the game is balanced and the better player won?

Rain controlled way better than Killer did when the engagement occurred. Killer wasn't reading Rain's army and never traded his useless broods which were eating up a ton of supply, he didn't actually use his corrupters for anything but shooting interceptors, and he never fungaled the interceptors or the voids, and spent all his energy on IT's which just died to storm instantly.
In other words, Killer did everything wrong.

No, but there was a long qualification process and weekend tournaments prove who is best that weekend, not overall. I do wish they had given more seeds to Korea though. Given how SC2 is right now, I don't think it would have been an unreasonable thing to do.

It's not like the reason 3 Koreans got eliminated is because they lost, amirite? It's also not like the seven Koreans that are taking part had to qualify over every other top Korean pro... right?
Listen, when people that weren't expect to win an Olympic event do win or when there is a weird finals does that invalidate the event?

And the korean zergs died early.. to foreing protoss and foreing zerg, but ofc that dosent count they played badly and omg INFESTOR nref! Roro and Curious are IMO a tier below Creator, Rain and Parting who are probably the best toss players in the world atm. And idk how you can argue like that, most Zerg players have recently agreed that there needs to be something done in PvZ (Toss being too strong in midgame and Zerg being too strong in lategame).

regardless of who wins this BWC, for some reason it doesn't really feel like a world champion/best player

They are.
They are dominating the GSL( toughest tournament)

it's promising if it can be done against a Korean zerg like Leenock or Life
Killer had too much 1 control group syndrome to be able to deal with Rain's air composition

Blizz wanted all the regions represented well, so of course it can't be all Koreans
Some of these foreigners are Code A material, a few maybe even marginal Code S guys/gals

The prism push from Parting and Rain look really similar

Just because Sen has been playing in a scene with lower skill level doesn't mean he will not improve much. If anyone bother to see his stream, his mechanics has improved a lot as he is now able to dedicate his time into practice. This guy has natural talent. He will still be fighting against the koreans at the frontlines for a long time. It's probably his destiny to get another 3rd though lol.

Come on! Sen vs Rain finals gogogo! I think Creator might beat Rain though in a pvp so here's hoping for a Vortix/Rain semi.

I think it's now safe to say that the Korean-Foreigner skill gap is virtually zero.

Protoss will never get that army in a game between two equal players. That is the whole problem.
