The basic argument is that the loser had to play more games than the winner simply to get a rematch, and to start 0-2 or 1-2 in that rematch is a slap in the face. It doesn't play out like a real BO7 at all - the mindset is completely different, and because of that, the entire concept is completely retarded. It's all about giving an unfair advantage to the winner, with the weird notion that the original winner must be the better player. If you want the better player to advance, make extended series a BO5/BO7 that starts at 0-0. But then again, as I understand it, the entire system was developed by someone with no SC2 experience. So yeah, there's that. | ||
