But honestly, I am hoping that Rain does well BUT not outright win MLG/WCS Global. Because that would cast a rather large shadow on whoever wins GSL 5. There will always be questions about whether he would have won if Rain was there. And I think that would kind of be unfair to that player.

Even if Life wins GSL, there will still be some doubt. I mean even if Rain loses to someone at MLG, it doesn't necessary mean that he would have lost to that player in GSL (they might not play each other in GSL). But at least the noise/doubt would be a lot less.

At least I'll get to watch him at a normal time for once (not 2 am), while I'm still lucid ...

Rain had a close series with Polt, lost to MVP, beat Byun twice who has been shown to be a one trick pony in TvP (hellion drop in main/marine ambush at natural), and he destroyed Taeja which looks less special now that finale wiped the floor with Taeja as well. Rain is one of the best players in the world, but him forfeiting doesn't taint this tournament.

Show your support for what GOM does! The potential for HyuN vs. Gumiho rematch is awesome too. A few weeks back, Gumiho lost 3-5 to HyuN in IPL Fight Club.

Some of the comments above that how we should question the validity on this seasons GSL winner, because Rain was not there made me sick in the stomach. Rain is an awesome player. But lets not make him a god without results yet.
