Coca and Puzzle as an exception but is anyone noticing a trend where people who don't succeed as much as they'd like are now moving on to LoL?
2nd related question - Why LoL and not DOTA 2? I know LoL is already established but seeing Team Liquid has started coverage on DOTA thought it would be more superior.

those prize pools are pretty weak if they are for the overall event, MLG especially. I tried looking up first place second place quarterfinals but It's not listed.

Because they're koreans and LoL > Dota2 in popularity there.

They won't be tho :O

I'm sure they will all be amazing at w/e game they play but I don't see many sc2 skills getting them ahead of how many Koreans have been trying to make it in the pro lol scene in the last six months.

I would argue that it might be more popular even worldwide.

1 more question from me - Is Bel'shir Vestige in the Map Pool as of today?
You know that map which looks like Daybreak, Ohana and Dual-Sight had a threesome together and came out with that abomination of a map.

Heh, Mini only got to play two games yesterday. Pretty sad, his fate was decided from 0-2 alone.

Lol and dota2 have way to top heavy prize pools so far imo.

You need the 20th best team in the world to still be earning enough money to live off, no reason that can't happen just hasn't yet.

Hm. Does anyone know more about the situation of LoL in Korea? Are they providing actual salaries, do they have a lot of sponsored teams?
It looks like more and more guys are switching.

Uh you living under a rock? Its super popular and yes they are salaried. Azubu players are rich$$$

No not really, American players earn more and are worse, so basically the usual stuff.

You should look up the house tours of Azubu Frost and Blaze, and then Curse, TSM and CLG...

Personally I prefer SC2 over Dota2 over LoL. Only played both games for a little bit though (like 20-30 games each).
LoL can also be a lot of fun though so I understand people who like to play it. I thought the competitive LoL scene was much smaller but from the links provided here it looks like it's already a pretty big scene.

Well, I'll stop derailing the thread now.
