Lack of fungal saturation from Ret letting stalkers get under his broods + good upgrades from nightend + no corruptors killing colossus, so colossus instakill all the broodlings = stalkers taking very little damage while 1shotting broodlords with target firing.
Ret needed corruptors and better fungals.

You might be right, sadly, I couldn't watch that series.
Thinking about that build... I guess it only makes sense on maps with easier thirds and reasonable fourth bases (Entombed, maybe the mentioned Cloud Kingdom... possibly Whirlwind).

Honestly as much as I criticize Ret usually, it's really nightend in this case that made it work for him, absolutely amazing, I mean Ret stayed with his spine crawlers, he didn't get caught out of position or something, the only thing that would have been nice is to prepare an ultra + infestor transition.

Would've liked to se another hatchery in the main by Ret, lings are really important versus blink stalkers and you need so much production to produce them!
