I think he didn't meant that "he wasn't prepared for Rain to adapt". He used "ability", which makes me think he said that thinking "he didn't planned Rain will adapt so well/quickly" You can anticipate the fact that your opponent can adapt. You can be completely surprised by the amplitude of it. | ||

Only if Last did the same thing, you are assuming that if you change the environment players will still play the exact same games? Possible, not really guaranteed though. Last should stick to his plans but somehow he didnt for game 4th, what if he did the same scenario in game 3rd in bo5? | ||

You do understand that in BoX, the more you increase X, the more it rewards the most consistent and all-around good player right ?
