No point in arguing. In the end the player who outplay his opponent when it's matter the most win. It happened to be Leenock in the first game.

Leenock control over his BLs/queen/infestor better over Taeja army.
He crushed Taeja army twice.
There is no doubt Leenock played better than Taeja in Game 1.

Really happy with these results in the ro8 - I think we got the best possible semifinals with the players remaining and it's hard to imagine a bad finals with this material.

It doesn't really matter because Code S is the 'main' tournament so only that should count. Since this is how it was for OSL/MSL where royal roaders came from. But if Code A were to be counted(which shouldn't and isn't), then getting a seed directly to Code S would but an asterisk to be a royal roader.

Well what makes a royal road for you? Is it going through all of GSL without losing, or going through Code S without losing? Rain hasn't gone through code A and it sounds like you are trying to disqualify Life because he lost a code A match.
If Rain wins and then Flash wins next season will we have to put an asterix next to Rain saying that he didn't go through alll of GSL?

Exactly, even if we get bad games in finals, it will still be a great final because of the players involved in the finals, no matter who makes it.

It is not that for OSL/MSL, qualifiers count as royal roader path in OSL/MSL. The only requirement is first time participation, no matter which stage of the tournament.

its impossible to complete code A and code S in the same season

Since I assume Life's main practice partners for this match with MKP would likely be Bomber and Hack. And since Bomber probably plays a more MKP bio style, he probably practiced with Life A LOT the past week. And in the case that he was losing a lot, probably wondering whether he was just playing bad or Life was really good.

Alright, so pretty much all of the finals possibilities are pretty damn amazing. Rain vs Taeja sounds especially fantastic.

Really? So has anyone attempted to qualify-for-the-first-time-ever, succeeded and then won the OSL/MSL in one go? How many games is that btw?

Yes it is, because code A now is the same season as next code S.

Two ways to classify a royal roader for Starcraft 2 1: The player qualifies for Code A(for the first time) and then proceeds to win through rounds 1-3 or win round 1 and go through the up & down matches and get into code s and win. 2: A player who has been in code a for a few seasons(doesn't make it through up & downs or gets eliminated in round 1 and qualifies each new season) & then qualifies for code s(for his first time) and wins.
Both are fine to crown a royal roader .

no............... code A is just played after code S, along with ups and downs, its the same season, code A is not with the next code S season, thats why the code A atm is season 4, along with the code S atm which is also season 4

WTF is this trend of LR threads ending in a pointless discussion?
Yesterday was some douchebag discrediting mvp's past titles, and today is another retard downplaying Life by going against estabilished definition of Royal Road.
Getting sick of it honestly.

Yup basically this.
Life is still a royal roader along with Sun.

It is for next championship, so it is the same season as next code S. Gom just called it stupidly because of previous format of code A.
