Polt deserved to lose that one, he was way too greedy.

No matter what map it is, greed can get punished

Indeed this is the biggest bullshit in SC2 IMO.

If you could go CC first and rush a factory with 2 marines without being punished....

THAT would be bullshit

You know that people go 3 hatch before pool without getting punished regularly on this map?
The problem is that Protoss allins don't get weaker with the distance while Terran allins get weaker. Protoss can go greedy on this map or play allin. Terran has to guess if you can go greedy or have to play safe.

Or scout (send a second SCV if the first location is wrong).

It's rather the opposite, just look at some LR when Heart played.

It's funny because Sun was a relative B-teamer in BW on SKT1

How many BW a-teamers are performing well actually? Flash and MVP?

pretty sure Sun is not a b-teamer on SKT1

Sun was a B-teamer in SKT.
This is a fact.

But this isn't the case anymore.

Look at his BW record last year and this year.

You have a SKT1 logo, you do realize that you are talking about being a relative B teamer in the past on SKT1 right? When proleague is a Bo7 with ace match and you have Fantasy Bisu Best? By.Sun's never made it past preliminaries in individual leagues in the past.
This is just semantics, but B teamer doesn't usually mean "not S class". Somebody who played regularly in proleague wasn't a B teamer. Now you could argue that Sun wasn't quite an A teamer yet, but he was clearly on the path.

Sigh can you read the word "was" as in past tense?

... Alright. Thanks for the name calling :/ Like I already said, Proleague was Bo7 with Ace (before that it was bloody Bo5), never being sent out in the first year, being on SKT1 with FBB, never making it past qualifiers, yea, he was a B-teamer.

that's two years ago. Rain was a regular last year
FBB = 3 players, you need at least six players in bo7s

Well, actually, if you think about it, all the most successfull korean sc2 players, were bw b-teamers... Seeing that jaedong was thrown back in code A, it seems like there is a strange transition of skill from the two games that only aply for b teamers... I smell conspiracy ;p

Not a conspiracy, A teamers have so much baggage and established play styles from BW it's hard to let go.

that actually makes some sense...

anyhow, what's the verdict, was Rain "a-teamer" in broodwar, or up and coming player? he seems to be doing so well, i would imagine he started with sc2 a lot earlier, while the more known players were in contention for remaining championships?

He was a freaking A-teamer.

This, the terran just needs to guess w/e the toss do and make a coinflip.

Yeah, too bad scouting is so hard when you have an orbital...

Lol, you're saying Terran is supposed to scan at 4'30 when going CC first?

I'm saying Terran shouldnt be so greedy when he has no clue what's going on.. He had 2 (!) mariners

you can just realize that it's a big map and 9 scout just like rain did. polt would have seen how much chrono rain saved up and would have known that a 4 gate is possible.
