1 single mistake.. BL in the main. But JD played really well.. i didn't think he was on this nice level.

Eventhough he eventually lost, I would still consider it a victory to almost beat the Boss Toss. With more experience JD will crush some face.

I don't know why everyone is surprised. Jaedong is good and is going to become one of the best Zergs in the world, but in terms of KeSPA players, he's probably at the latter half end of the top 10 or top 15. His wins in ace matches really gave him his Code S seed.

If he stays on mutas he doesnt have infestors and the pheonix would have destroyed them.

I think protoss were complaining about Abyssal City vs Zerg so he might have vetoed it since there hasnt been a lot of time to practice on it

Why would protoss veto Abyssal city? I thought it'd be a very good map for blinking and forcefielding. (I'm P)

Np, this is what JD does. He likes to be behind in BoX, then come back with a raging passion.

Jaedong got way ahead by catching MC off guard with tons of mutas, and then just had absolutely terrible engagements. I loved what he did with all the spine positioning and that extra base where he was only mining gas - he did a lot of things very well, but obviously, that's meaningless if you lose your whole army due to poor control. JD threw away a ton of infestors, then proceeded to lose a ton of broods by overextending in MC's main. Then, he engaged in a choke and had all his broods clumped up, and paid the price for it. That was JD's game to lose, and he lost it.

If you decide to send broods into the main like that, I feel like a nydus to get queens/infestors into the battle is necessary.

I don't understand why Effort didn't get a Code S seed, he's been the most impressive to me. Well, except for his absolutely horrible ZvP.

No but it's only for Zerg.
Like if I get an army advantage and go push a Terran but there's bunkers and auto repair. It just doesn't count.

Yeah agreed. High expectations against the highest earnings SC2 player

I don't think people would be surprised about a loss to MC I think people are surprised about the WAY he lost. He had such a huge lead, and just made a few simple mistakes. He should have won that game.

and still outplayed mc the until the last 2 minutes? damn mc must suck.

Just as Jaedong made some big mistakes to let MC back into the game, MC made a big mistake in his scouting to almost gift it to Jaedong. Neither played flawlessly, and the guy with better late game decision making won in the end.

It's hilarious how the Jaedong bias is strong...

Come on ! I cheer for JD and still I was disappointed by the terrible engagement and BL giveways... I can't deny that !

Give him some time, he plays well already....
