I find that weird. Had I run the tournament I'd go all KeSPA on them, but I guess MLG isn't in a strong enough position in LoL to do that.

It has more to do with the fact that they are trying to generate hype with twitter. I mean they arent going to make a statement like that over twitter during the games. My guess is you will see some sort of statement or penalty once the event is finished.

Bad if you are trying to run an e-sport. It's like playing football (soccer) and they go withouth goalkeeper on some finals and you can only shoot from the middle circle. That's what happens when you are players and viewership are LoLplayers.
