MKP played taeja in a bo9 in IPL fight club and MKP won 5-1. Taeja's current run is good, but I still don't think it compares to MKP's run at the start of this year, nor do I think taeja is better than MKP now. Shame MKP wasn't at the last MLG arena or assembly so he could show taeja who the true terran king is.
You don't think Taeja is better than MKP...? Yeah I avoid facts sometimes too.
No, I don't because taeja won the weakest arena to date and assembly was a weak lineup with MC only as a standout. Taeja is good, but not better than MKP. I'm not buying into the taeja hype yet and when I mean hype, I mean those claims about being the best player in the world or best terran in the world.

uhh I'm an MKP fan but there is no question which one of them is better right now and it definitely is not MKP based purely on results. MKP's last Korean games for example have about 6 more losses on his first page of TLPD and taeja has been absolutely dominating everything he has been in outside of Korea too.
I think it's a misnomer to compare their recent Korean TLPD because MKP just hasn't played much recently. He has 5 games in KR TLPD in July, while taeja has 33 games played. Taeja has just been in the spotlight more recently due to how many tourneys he's played.
I definitely think Taeja's TvZ is better right now though but can't say TvT/TvP for certain until he faces the very best in bo3/bo5's, like MarineKing has.
He beat Hero 3-1 and MC 4-1 what more do you want? :D
"zomg he needs to beat squirtle, seed and parting!" that's never going to happen in official matches within reasonable time.
marineking is more than capable of beating hero and mc like that too not so long ago, mkp 5-1 mc on a showmatch, so mmm

Perhaps I misheard, but it sounded like he was speaking first person and saying that MC told him that he had forgotten charge and that's why MC was on tilt and lost the series. I thought it would be weird for TaeJa to say that when he couldn't have known how it had affected MC unless they talked pre-game in the lobby or something. Anyway, I rescind my comment, it blew up way more than I intended it too. I just don't like it when translators add their own words since they should be speaking solely for the person they are translating.
In this tournament, Koreans went 25 - 2 (series) and 77 -29 (maps) against foreigners. Hero dropped a series against Sortof, and Puma a series against Nightend. The other 23 times, no foreigner could beat a Korean.

Come on people, get it together.
Wow, that's ridiculous.
Can't wait for the replays to be released! Hopefully it's soon and not months after (or never - even though they were promised) like some other tournaments.

I also can't wait to get the replays! I believe SETT.FI handled the admin part of this tournament (they have every other event) and the last two ROG tournaments have had the replays released within the week.
On behalf of everyone who didn't have the opportunity to watch live, thank you for posting that. Incontrol and 2gd exhibiting the finest display of absolutely no chemistry whatsoever :D
To be honest, this tournament i didnt have that much expectations but honestly this tournament with the casting, the players, the everything from productions to fans i would rate this one of the TOP tournament of the year by FAR. Just i enjoyed every time i turned on the stream i just couldnt stop watching it.
I think 2GD should be hosting alot more events and he does a super A job at what he does. He puts so much time and effort into the gaming scene i think the community should pay him back at least. If people watched the real talk episode of 2GD he puts his heart and soul and barely makes profit like most of these other tournaments. His helping Esports grow and i think he should be appreciated more.

He is the best at the moment. He is not the most accomplished, but in his current shape he is better than any other player.
not a lot of koreans are able to compete in every tournament
He is number 1 in the korean Elo and number 2 in the foreigner Elo (about 1 won game away from place 1). Many doubted Stephanos abilities as well, when he was winning online cups and dominating the ladder, or Nerchio. For both players the results followed later and they are some of the best foreigners out there.
I cannot think of a player which I would give more than 50% chance of winning a series against Taeja. But for sure many are close to 50 percent.
Winning a single GSL doesn't mean that much, because a single series could have changed the result drastically. Consistency is the key. Ad Taeja is currently doing well in every tournament he enters (online and offline) and the teamleagues. However I do not yet know if his underlying skill is that high or he is just in such good shape currently.
