A EU 2v2 tournament where you can show your skills in team play, with both blizzard maps and non-blizzard maps. It’s a weekly tournament held each saturday at 15:00 CEST. To participate your team must be placed in Platinum or higher. The idea with this tournament is to give players a possibility to play other maps than the ladder map pool and of course to make the 2v2 competitive play bigger.
Custom: Every game have to be played on TeamCuP official. To find our map pool go to Custom Games and Search on teamcup. If you hold over the map you vill get some data of it and some of the maps starting with "TeamCup" have been slightly modified (such as adding neutral supply depots etc) by MicroMonkey in order to make the maps more balanced.
TeamCuP Molten Crater TeamCuP Magma Core TeamCuP Boneyard TeamCuP Discord TeamCuP Lunar Colony Best of 3 in the uper bracket and Best of 1 in lower bracket. 3 vetos per team of the total 9 maps in map pool.
Chatt channel
Everyone in the chat channel will be invited to watch the finals, evin if you have not played in the tournament. We are doing this as an alternative for players to watch and enjoy games, as well as learn from better players.

---> "TeamCuP" <--- Join the channel during the tourney to get new info from the admins and to make it easier to find your opponent. If There is no live sream covreing this event. We will try to get every one from the chatt Channel to spectate the Grand Finals and enjoy it. At the Grand Finals the chatt Channel can also be used the veto maps, last game no point in having the veto secret.
So far we dont have a prize pool. But the winning team will get their name and team logo posted here and in the live stream's Hall of Fame.
Hopefully this tournament will help make more people open their eyes for the 2v2 scene, and remember to have fun! :D This is not the only 2v2 tournament, but it is one more in a selection of too few.
Thx fixed. Give it time this is the tournaments week one. Not many knows about it jet, but many I have spoken whit are interested. This is also my first event I create so give me time. Of course I will do some research on how to improve it.
One team was fast to get together and sign up. I am waiting for 3 more teams when they know they can the same time (,I haven’t sign up jet (can I do that?)).

Always good to see more tourniments pop up. Are you going to be creating VODs and/ or reply packs from the event? Might help to increase publicity, but only if the standard of play is good.

The winners of every game have to send the replays to MicroMonkey, and I just spoke to him and he will make a replay pack for all of us 2v2 supporters ^^
I know some peopel that haven´t voted jet becous they are w8 4 the one other option that is closest to win other then friday. So there is a chans that it will be on saturday once they see some peopel have voted fore that option.
The voting is done and the final utcome is: Out with Scorched Haven and in whit Bel´shir marquee by Thefish7! The day and time will stay on friday.
In other news, all maps are named "TeamCuP" and posted on custom games. You only need to search TeamCuP and the entier map pool comes up. Exceptions are Retrospork and iCCup Citadel of Gaia. These two maps have to be played on arcade.
And there will be a live stream covered by DroneDefence. There is also a small prize in this tournament. Winners will have there team logo posted in the live streams hall of fame.
So next friday 17/8 19:00 is the next tornament se you there.
BUT remeber to chek-in. Sign-up and chek-in is not the same thing. All online tournaments need a chek-in. because of you can sign-up and then skip play it, and we dont wanna have players in the bracket thas is not there. So chek-in is to make sure you are there. If you don´t chek-in you are not PLAYING!

What about thursday 19:30, or wednesday 19:30 ? (Tuesday isn't a good idea as there is already ESL 2v2 tourney).
I mean, saturday and sunday are so busy daaaaays, just like friday night is. In more, in summer, I hate playing during the day, cuz so much sun around :D

I Can´t thursday or wednesday, I work. And I think it will be hard doing this when Admin is of some where. And yes I dont want it to be on Tuesday because I play in ESL too. So sorry Only night time we have is friday or put it on Satuday night

#1 and #2 was great I hope to see #3 going great agine I have had alot of fun doing this, and others have really helped me out. If you have any feedback dont hesitate to PM me or post here. it can onley be better from where we are going.

Please also give us feedback here regarding time/date of tournament, map pool, format e.t.c, we greatly appreciate it! For example what did you think of the new TeamCup version of Lunar Colony? MicroMonkey tried to adjust it so that utilizing cannons at the imba-place would not be as strong (cannons won't reach mineral line) and moved the ramp so that it would be easier to defend your expansion.

We can do that. I took the time 15:00 so teams can warm up before the start. Starting earlier would not work for you. becausethe tournament would go on during the time you eat, my guess.
I have done some statistics from several 2v2 tournaments. I dont have big numbers jet and not 100% accurate, but all 4 tournaments have teams that are mid to high ranked. And ofc TeamCuP have been used=) so thx for playing ang giving me NR.

But TZ vs PZ looks kind of balanced. TP is having tubbel. but dubbel race have big trubbel where PP is worst off.

I really enjoy doing this. I know its a small tournament (8 teams but that is 16 players (maby not small)). but you have to start some where. In future I hope more peopel will play in it, many have said they will but have some stuff to do. Also the 2v2 scean needs this! So if you want 2v2 to get bigger support this and all other 2v2 events.
TeamCuP #5 is finished. You can now Sign-up for TamCuP #6 that is going to be played on thursday 19:00 CEST. reason for this is the EU finals in stockholm globen. we (the admins) are going to watch it! And we wanna try to see how thursday workes out.

Only members of the TeamCuP.2v2.EU.Weekly group will be posted on the leaderboard. And the first TeamCuP hasent been recorded yet so Greent and GaeMtOsS has 45 points.

Becous of blizz having a charsh TeamCuP #11 was canceled. And now I am going to a lan to play in a lan tournament sc2 2v2. so no TeamCuP this coming week. But the next week in november TeamCuP is back to tracks. Hope to see you there.
There is some small changes to make this tournament better. this is the following things.
1) map pool is changed. from 9 maps there is now 5 maps. There is one opening map, a map made by a map maker. and then loser pick from 4 maps made by blizzard.
The loser pick maps are -TeamCuP boneyard -TeamCuP lunar Colony VI -TeamCuP molten crater -TeamCuP magma core
the rotating opening maps are (will change from week to week) -TeamCuP Bel´shir Marquee -TeamCuP Mokura -TeamCuP Fields of strife
The idee with this is to make the tournament faster.
OK every one TeamCuP #12 Mokura is coming up. Its taking place the same time th 25 sunday 16:00 CEST. The opening map is Mokura and tha same map pool. you can always find the entier map pool at custom games if you search TeamCuP.
