You're reading the wrong page. The actual WCS South Korea is double elim, but the Prelim, to quote: "Each group is a single elimination tournament ". Soulkey is out.

This also doesn't make sense as Code B encompasses every player outside of Code S or A including (for now) the Kespa players themselves. If you look at some of the ESV Korean "unknowns" they're all pretty freaking good

Yeah but SK has been regarded as one of the top Kespa SC2 players, probably top Z along with Effort. And yet MMA just rolled him...
And the skill difference between Code S/Code A/Code B is actually quite small. So if MMA could beat him quite easily, then I expect players like players like Hoon, Dream, and Keen to do the same.

Well... to be fair MMA is known for being one of the best TvZ players in the world. He can roll top Gom zergs aswell...
Just have to look back at IPL when MMA smashed Stephano on Metropolis with massive drop play and so many nukes When he gets in that zone he just destroys zergs

Did the korean casters just say that MMA's ability to use various builds are proof that MMA's going out of slump and is about to return to code S? o.0

Considering how many groups they have to get through and they probably have to stream alot of it. it makes sense.

I think the only Kespa player left who has a chance is By.Sun...the rest seem pretty weak

I dunno about the Korean casters but I feel like his slump is ending, he crushed Hero in Code A and almost beat DRG at the IPL hot import nights thing. ( losing 2-3 and the last game was close )
