If the stream indicated otherwise, don't believe it. The atmosphere and crowd were amazing, especially when Huk made his entrance.

I'm not Canadian; but the turnout for this even was fantastic, the crowd energy was always high, and they never failed.
Plain and simple Canada NEEDS more esports events. And esports events NEED to be held in Canada.

Throughout the event people were clamoring for the chance to get close to their favourite SC2 players and casters and a general feeling of happiness seemed to come out of all the people around because of their ability to witness first hand SC2 on the live (and at the end, wild) side. Winners would come out for signings, casters as well, but about as freqently. For those that lost on day one it was very hard to meet with them especially considering that a few of them, being Korean, kept to themselves mostly otherwise (I suppose it was a combination of factors that contributed to it, nothing to feel wronged by I ask that people consider). Day[9] went above and beyond the call of duty the first night to see his fans after it all closed down and as much as food was at event prices (read: more expensive then normal) it was made up for by the quantity of games.

People were even enjoying the non-NASL players get their game on whether it was on a two-faced side stage, sectioned off computer areas, or on the main stage when tribes and CSL took the spotlight. Although Scarlett playing for fun at the side stage drew away about a hundred people from tribes during their second match.

Overall I loved the event and I'm pretty sure that all the crew and casters loved it as well. I can only hope the players are willing to come back/enjoyed themselves enough despite the typical hungryness of the crowd for their attentions.

I also hope that the people watching the event are willing to support what NASL has done for Season 3's Finals so that Canada can get another shot in the future!

MC vs Stephano can go either way. it went 4-2 this time. MC won 5-3 in fightclub. We havent seen Stephano battle Korean protoss IN KOREA. So only time will tell....

Lost: Bomber, Marineking

Now that I'm arguing against you, but considering this discussion is about GSL, how many of those Terrans he beat are in Code S?

I don't think Code S means that much, some better players are in Code A and its changing every season.

But If you only take Code S:
Won: Keen, Ganzi x2, Ryung
Lost: Marineking

Still not really questionable imo.

Code S changes all the time, one season you are code S, a week later you are code B.

On the other hand, Code S players lose to code A/B players in GSTL and other tournaments all the time. If Code S status are so indicative of skill, why are most of the korean qualifiers for TSL in code A/B?

Regardless, these people will always hate

Sounds about right, I did some quick math while I was there. There was more than 30 rows that were completely packed, with each row have about 25-35 seats. And there are people sitting on the ground/their own chairs.

Adding to that, the event is pretty out of the way, most people need 30+mins drive from Toronto, and it's nearly impossible to bus there as its not in the Toronto transit area.

If they host in the real "heart" of Toronto, the turn out could be at least 50% more.

So here is our message to the esports organizations: WE NEED MORE EVENT

most of the real Code S players dont have time to participate in foreign events

look at the people like NesTea who are always Code S, these are the amazing players there area few Code S players every season who arent really code S level but Ro16 onwards is the REAL code S players give or take a couple

also its extremely rare for someone to go from code s to code b in one season :/

Way to go stephano!!! I wish the matches hadn't been so one-sided. Ret v MC really depressed me and made my question my life. Alicia v. stephano was also akin to a small furry creature being crushed beneath a bulldozer, but at least my guy won and so it cheered me up.
