There have been so many awesome moments watching lots of great events for me. Take your crappy attitude and go watch Evo. This crowd is far louder than it appears and nothing is happening.. they just did the Day9 dance between games... BAD SC2!
i guess i'm just not cut out to be a politically correct nerdy starcraft fan.. i've slowly started to realize that what this community thinks of as funny and exciting are way different than what i think, so yeah i guess i will have to stop watching. it's a shame cuz i really like sc2 but i just cant stand the current production standards/values

He can't be the person doing the player intros at the GSTL right? I'm talking about the korean team league. Mr. Chae is insane. GSTL at IPL was fricking amazing, because of him.

I can still get hyped so much about sc2 just the game i enjoy more watching but i get what you mean a lot of the matches don't feel as exciting. For me personally though it was KoF finals those were so intense to me. Much more than MVC3 it also is just the game i much prefer KoF style.

Because that's the one of the few easily quantifiable metrics, whereas general "good mechanics" is more subjective.
I guess you could also count supply blocks and queen energy somehow, but no one has that data.

Just need korean terrans to start going to foreign events again as foreign terrans have always struggled compared to their korean counterparts Korean terrans don't have time to flmight around the glove, they need so much time to practice. Idk they did it throughout 2011 winning most of the major lans xD. According to top terrans current results & terrans recent nerfs, we can say they were op before patches but now they need every second to train. It's like "Fu I have to go to toilets, ok when game ends I start a new game & I have 15 secs to go to toilets"

Evo is way different than most SC2 events. It is literally the biggest tournament in the world for fighters. It's what WCG use to be for BW. Comparing it to a NASL or any old MLG is just weird. If we had 1/10 the amount of tournaments and one of them was 20x bigger than the rest than it would be almost as hyped as Evo.
Lots of complaints in this thread that are unneeded. The production isn't bad, the games have been good, enjoy the good show people!

In what way is an SC2 event going to copy that atmosphere...fighting game rounds last a minute at most and there are always "finishing moments" to get excited about. Starcraft matches last around 10-15 minutes and the victories generally take place over extended periods of time. People do cheer and all that---compare it to basketball, people don't go insane when every shot is made (/any minor victory for a player to get a lead) but there is sometimes excitement for things like the game-winning shot.
