Taeja lost 0-3 to Squirtle last season. He's not beating MC.

Taeja Shouldn't beat MC.... But again MC hasn't had nearly as much prep time, Between HSC travelling and having to also prep for NASL all the while Taeja is solely practising for this match up....

Heart says 3-1 for MC
Brain says 3-2 for Taeja T.T

But what is your cock answer? That'll be the tie breaker.

You write much better than most people, judging from your spelling and vocabulary, and since you've taken your time to write all this, I'm gonna assume it is something you enjoy and want to get better at. Hence this subsequent critique:

-__-;;

What is with people and asking me to make it "readable?"

What is "readable" to you guys?

It's readable in the sense that I am literally able to read every word, but it really lacks continuity at times. Things like bad punctuation and poor formulations will halt the flow and sort of remind the reader that he is in fact sitting there reading, if you understand what I mean. A good writer will avoid that as much as possible. This applies to everyone, regardless of preference in writing style.

I'm far from an expert myself and english is only my second language, but I like to think I know a thing or two. A few things that in my opinion could heavily improve your writing are:
  • Avoid redundant words. There are a lot of unnecessary conjunctions ("but", "because" etc.) in your text, and these are some of the worst in terms of continuity.

Because all 8 players right now have safely secured their placement for the 2012 GSL Season 4 Code S, the players no longer feel pressured by the threat of falling into Code A. But unfortunately they cannot relax just yet. In fact, they have to work even harder than before. Because right now, at this very moment, each player is realizing the same thing.

Notice how omitting the strikethrough'd words makes the flow much better, thus making it more readable. (The last "because" could actually stay if the period was switched with a comma though, but you don't want to overuse words anyway). You want to be concise. You want to say the most with the least amount of words.

  • Try to be consistent in your font usage. There are like 10 different sizes and font types in total. This number should ideally not exceed three. The lead paragraph should be the same size as the body text, but bolded, if I remember correctly.

  • Centered text is absolutely horrible. Enough said.

  • Smileys looks kinda unprofessional in this sort of context. My subjective opinion of course, but I know a lot of people would agree.

The overall impression was drastically dragged down by the exaggerated use of caps lock, I realize now. With some slight adjustments it's actually pretty good. I hope you didn't take my Huk comment too seriously. It was just a joke, after all

I do this for fun. And like I've mentioned before, it is INTENTIONALLY quirky and silly. I like it that way. I don't want it to sound professional. I want to hype up the players and the viewers. As long as the excitement gets across, minor punctuation and grammar errors don't seem like a big deal to me

I agree with you Seeker that you shouldn't be held to particularly high standards and that your objectives are different to an official preview's objectives.

However, I am sorry to say that I did not feel the excitement get across. You really lost me at 'I'm here, I'm queer'! I was just thinking 'wtffff...' and stopped reading T.T.

Anyway I don't really care about what you right so much - I want to ask a different question. Wasn't there a poll a while back that showed that most people want opterown's headings? Those headings are so clear and simple. I can't stand these jumbled red headings!

Keep up the good work though, you are massively underappreciated and people probably don't realise how much time and effort creating and maintaining LR threads takes.
