MVP during his reign of terror.

I still don't think anything beats going undefeated in an entire gsl AND winning back-to-back 4-0 finals...

why didn't they put Hero against first, save taeja for a little later!

I really think that in this sort of format it's not always best to save the best for last. Too much pressure on that player and momentum is a really important factor. You want to stop your opponent's momentum asap.

That is only true if all your other teammates lose their games. having the best for last when he only has to win 1 or 2 games puts you in a good position especially if that player is Taeja.

It doesn't make sense to send out your second best player (hero) to play the most volatile matchup in sc2 (pvp) and risk to lose him that way. (That's my interpretation of what nazgul said about why he doesn't want to send out hero against protoss).

TL too good of a team? Taeja is the only won who does anything for them.

And what has IM done? According to you, they just have to get their 10 players to just snipe 1 person - And they have 4 weeks to prepare for it and fails to do it.

IDK how this disproves what I said. This proves exactly what I said. Which is that the entire tourney is Taeja vs IM. I never said IM is doing better. All i said is how can you call the entire TL team is better than team IM when it is just Taeja vs IM. All you did was repeat what i said.

Because Taeja has the best mechanics out of anyone in SC2 and TL is the best team because they helped Taeja prepare to snipe each LG-IM player. Taeja would still be a typical Terran if he was still in SlayerS because SlayerS Terrans are notoriously bad at TvP. Here in TL, he had LiquidHero to practice against. In SlayerS, Puzzle and Alicia aren't that good versus Terran so he didn't realize his potential yet.

So uhh, anyone have any idea about what's going on? There's like 20 people swarming Taeja's computer.

MVP in 2011 was more dominant than Taeja is currently by far. Taeja hasn't done more than MKP tbh. Their results are almost identical, and both carry their teams.

Nestea when he had his perfect GSL season and had won GSL May like two months before.

Mvp in early 2011 when he destroyed everyone, beating MKP twice in GSL finals.

And late 2011 when he got top 4 in every tournament he entered, including multiple GSL finals and semi finals in a row.

It wasn't that long ago that MKP was tearing it up like Taeja is currently, for me that was quite similar in that he was placing strongly pretty much everywhere.

MVP as his peak imo showed more dominance in his games, but didn't play as many tournaments as he probably could have (or in comparison to someone like MC). Nestea has shown the strongest prepared GSL play yet, but I've never been that impressed with him in other tournaments, especially when he plays in foreign LANs he loses that edge he gains from pre-preparing.

There isn't really a 'best' player until you define what you view as the most important attributes to value imo

They're hoping some of Taeja's talent rubs off on them.

Well i think both MVP and MC would rather rest and practice for WCS tbh. Which is why they probably didnt go.

Nestea's route during that undefeated season was pretty meh though, compared to some of Mvp's and even Seed's route.

Taeja was ridiculously good at TvP when he was in SlayerS, dude. If you'd ever watched him when he made his debut in the ESV Weekly, then you'd know that.

You are so wrong, Liquid just got lucky by picking Taeja up during his up-tick, before foreigners had noticed him.
