Vulture spots the mineral only warping Why is there a pylon-gap-forge-plyon wall there? Two more facts being added DT being added to this army Snow looking to take the 3 oclock as a fourth soon, but a spider mine is mannering it
FBH trying to in out of his nat, trying to secure his mineral only Snow's 4th is warping in at 3 oclock Shuttle may fall Reaver going to get two tanks? No two hp left on a tank Neverrmind gets the tank anyways and a third Snow so good <3
Shuttle survives with 1hp holy crap First arbiter on the way out 3 oclock is up now Core spinning, is that +1 air? 4 facts on the way 4 gates warping in Goon range forgotten? 11 oclock is going to be taken by Snow
Arbiter goign to recall into the nat of FBH? Recall into the main Over the facts instead Shuttle follow up, but the 1 hp shuttle More gates being addded
Recall gets cleaned up pretty well, +1 attack for toss is done Really liking Snow's gate placement Carriers being made now Second core too Robo at 9 still hasn't been killed yet Another recall into FBH's main +1 air attack done

You should see the SC2 people that wade in the BW section and tell us how bad our favourite players are. It's fucking pitiful.

This Starcraft 2 Prequel has bad graphics.
Aha, read the preceding stuff a bit, you're missing alot of context
Gas steal gets canceled , then retaken Nice little wall, rax-depot-depot-rax Single zealot and a probe in BByong main Should proxy a fact, but I realized he has no gas
Gate and gas for Guemchi in the main scv scouting in the wrong direction Saw the proxy, but doesn't know where Guemchi is Core started now Two zealots, scvs buffering, while the marines pepper the zealots Two scvs and a marine fall One zealot falls on the retreat

Well, I guess the people from the BW section have a similar opinion our favourite SC2 players. By the way we have to distinguish between "bad" in general and "not there yet" considering they just switched and have to play two games at a time.
MnM, with stim? Proxy robo from Guemchi Archives is just about done too Bunker at the top of Gumechi's ramp too Firebat's too Firebats stim and tear apart the probe line No probes left Reaver killing stuff at BByong's main

He would win even without lift. Guemchi would run out of money for scarabs before he could kill all off bbyongs shit.
Now this is a game where one player did in fact play at an almost sub-master level, I'm quite sure I could execute this one better, get stim, never use it!

And we need to be reminded of your Starcraft skills because...?
He definitely didn't have much practice with that all-in. I'm sure he was taught it quickly and just didn't execute quite right. Either way a 3 hatch zerg with 6 queens is fairly well prepared as long as the hellions aren't able to deny all scouting of the push coming.

The scvs were already at effort's nat before he started building his first lings, then piano proceeded to attack evo chambers and leave rallied units scattered everywhere -_-.
On June 17 2012 16:07 BobMcJohnson wrote: I'm not sure if this is really Effort's build or if he's just trying to BM :<
Well he held the all-in 3 times and decided he was so far ahead he would just attack into marauders with queens and banelings (both of which are not good vs marauder or hellion, especially off creep). A funny BM move, definitely not his original plan for that game.
I like how creative the BW pros are turning out to be in SC2. Call it sloppy if you want but these builds and attacks are seriously innovative. Bisu Jaedong MLG Game 3 comes to mind. I thought JD used the queen real creatively. It may be funny at times but this'll lead to serious changes in the metagame in the future.

yes, but you also underestimate the zerg's ability to sacrifice the natural or main and just overwhelm with lings. As long as they don't lose all their hatches and drones they can still win. The attack may have killed the 3rd base easily though if he went for it.
Man, call me crazy but banelings are cute. LOL! Effort maintained his composure. That's impressive. It actually felt as if Piano was panicking as he was playing.
On June 17 2012 16:15 blade55555 wrote: lol wow effort should have lost that game but lucky that terran executed that bad :D
What happens if he blocks the ramp with 2 rauders and 3 hellions behind then proceeds to kill everything else ? :O
He definitely should have killed at least one base. No stim made it hard to beat the 5 queens at the natural. I don't know if he even realized there was a 3rd base.
On June 17 2012 16:15 raga4ka wrote: Piano could have probably killed Effort there with better execution , but still it was a nice hold .
I think so too. Especially with the second wave of his all-in. I think he was just thrown off mentally after the first hold by Effort. Effort, on the other hand, didn't seem to panic at all and made minimal mistakes. Good decision to tech to banelings and good semi-wall-in with the queens and spines.

Are you watching on Esportstv youtube stream? They cap the quality pretty low and it bugs my eyes because all the edges in the rendering blends a bit. SC2 looks more crisp on 720+.
Horang2, BW PvP god. I wonder how good he is at PvP in SC2. Move over, Oz!
I actually think Horang2's particular style would fit well with SC2. An aggressive gateway heavy style would be exciting to watch. Similar to MC's style I think. That's only my opinion though.

I'm watching the HD stream through VLC, it's just that I'm unused to the camera rotating and stuff. It really does a number on my perception when they do that.
He tried so hard to kill that DT with forcefields. The expansion actually secured with blink now, stardust missed his timing and might fall behind if he delays an expansion too long.

I think he felt confident poking due to blink, but the phoenix made retreat impossible.

Same thought here. I thought he should've set up defenses and maintained his econ advantage. Having twice the chronoboosts iis already a huge advantage.
Hopefully with the Oracle, Stargate openers are less gamble vs DTs and we'll see more Phoenix's in PvP. They're strangely popular in Proleague, especially the Ace guys.

The Mothership core 3 shots stalkers and 13-range. [Warning: theory-crafting ahead] If you can somehow keep the stalkers from blinking back and forth between main<->natural, maybe there will be a safe 2-base Phoenix build.
On another side note, I'm really happy that this wasn't a 4 gate on either side. I thought both openings were smart and more exciting to watch than a 4 gate ALL THE TIME.
Still, I thought that the damage was done when the DT forced Piano into making a whole bunch of pylons. Horang2 seemed a little impatient with his attack. He'd already seen the phoenix. I'm sure he knew that even blink stalkers couldn't outmaneuver those phoenixes.
I hope Great wins. Just so that it goes to the Ace match and we see Effort own again. Then Leta just doing a backflip just cause he's a boss.

One time Leta tried to do a backflip and got trolled by the mascot, I'm sure you can find the gif.

With good micro you can avoid a scan. I tried it earlier today and the toss had too strong micro. My marines tried to camp the edge as well and zone the obs/stalkers out of range of the stalkers, but that also leaves your front undefended which let him just kill me from there. I've seen holds of it with 4-5 rax marine, but it's still so hard if you don't know it's coming.
Why would you ever build a third cc before you scout the nexus.... if the protoss is doing anything at all on one base you're just dead. Like that game. And if you survive intact on two bases you're probably going to win, you don't need a third.

Multiple coaches have said they structure there practices 80-20 in favor of SC2. Yes, the 20% of time they spend on BW does hurt there developement slightly but 80%(and it might be more judging off how the BW games look) means they are not splitting there time as much as people imply they are.

Point being, let's just cut them some slack, give em time and enjoy their games.
I give them slack because they are just learning a new game. I accept that SC2 is a hard game and one does not just decide they will be as good as the Code S players and then it just happens. The 2 game thing is being used as an excuse when its more the learning sc2, at a fairly remarkable pace, that is the reason a lot of the games havnt been the highest level.
