I thought historically England and Scotland didn't get along. But then again most of my knowledge of Scotland comes from Macbeth and Braveheart. | ||

What has that got to do with the fact that the Queen rules over all of the UK? I guess it comes from people being stupid and calling her the "Queen of England", which makes as much sense as calling her "Queen of Scotland", so I won't hold it against you too much. | ||

Well historically they haven't got along, but since I think around the 1600s the King/Queen of England has also been the monarch of Scotland. England & Scotland are both part of "Great Britain" | ||

Rule of thumb, if a film has Mel Gibson in it it's not historically accurate (Braveheart, the Patriot) with the exception of Mad Max, because that is going to happen. | ||
