I really don't think this should be a reason for hostility from either side. The tournament schedule and format has been set before and won't be changed. There will be a third place match and that's good. The fact that people express the sentiment that they would like to see the grand finals is a compliment to the tournament after all. It's not one sided hence I don't see issue that big because of few Europeans posting few "angry"-ish filled posts - at least not big enough for you to whine about their whine, ultimatively they just want to see awesome final games... live. | ||

If every game lasts 40 minutes, it'd be much later; if every set went to the maximum number of games (3, 5, 7), the time would be later. This is a dynamic game that does not have a set time limit; even an average game time during tournaments varies. Scheduling issues push times back; technical issues push times back and a whole host of different things can push times back. With all that in mind, these tournament hosts plan a schedule for the area they're in--North America, Europe, Korea, etc. I don't find it selfish for people to expect tournament hosts to additionally plan for regions where the tournament isn't taking place, but I do find it absurd. It is difficult enough to take into account all the variables that can change at what point a certain set will take place. If MC had 3-0'd Stephano in addition to Bomber's 3-0, would the 3rd place game have been permissible? I just find this to be one more thing that people whine about. Self-entitlement runs rampant on the internet. | ||
