Was sad to see HuK go, but he definately was not playing at the top of his game today. Some sloppy mistakes on his part through pretty much all of his matches. Sad to see Illusion and Ostijoy go so quickly as well. Perhaps Ostijoy is not on this level quite yet, but he put up some great games, very fun to watch games. | ||

It's also not particularly intelligent to cite the allegation that he was kicked out of the gom house as fact. It's a he said she said type if thing and none of the sources can reasonably be assumed to be more reliable than the others. Claiming that hate is warranted because LS cheated when he was 14 is also quite frankly unintelligent. Cheating as a teenager followed by not cheating again = forgiven. And you can't possibly blame LS for accepting the invite. As far as that goes you can only blame the people who invited him. Especially if you're not also criticizing sheth and ostijiy. In sum people are mad that LS got invited so they grasp at straws as reasons to hate him. Not only that but the criticism is out of proportion to the offense. It's probably a small group of people including Silverline posting again and again in this thread. Silverline clearly has a bone to pick because LS BMed him before. Sorry if you're still emotionally affected by that, maybe you should make a blog about it. | ||

It doesn't seem that this is a "but now they are fine" thing with this guy. | ||

I'm not emotionally affected by him being a jackass at all, I found it hilarious while it was happening. As I said, he was raging at me as he was losing. Do you honestly think that I would be mad in that situation? Would really love to see the proof if whatever terrible BM people are claiming from last shadow. I don't have bookmarks of LS being an idiot, and if I did I'm sure you would go off about me being obsessed. So my ability to search for that evidence is no better than yours. I wouldn't be surprised if someone came in with some links though. | ||

In fact he was in a pretty precarious situation, Squirtle was just about to hit a potent timing. If you want to say that one tournament isn't everything or give any other defense of LastShadow, that's fine. But to say that he didn't play god awful is just delusional. You may be right. To my defense, I was expecting the worst after scanning through this thread, and then watching the games, I saw nothing that really made me cringe. And that losing to 1 zealot thing (even though it could be argued that he lost to the stalker  ), I kind of discounted that as an instance of risk taking that doesn't work out.What bad luck? Above all, his group. | ||

I think that it was an error on the part of Day9 to invite him, but a couple of things: Naniwa did have to turn down an invite and we have no knowledge of how many people did turn down invites, necessitating quick replacements. Lastshadow may just have been handy. Secondly, while Osotojiy put up a couple of better games, he ALSO went 0-6 in the Group Stage, yet no one shits on him. So the moral of the story seems to be: if you are ever accused of BM or cheating ever, people will hate on you for being a 'douchebag' or 'cheater', unless you are a gosu GSL player, in which case you get to do whatever the hell you want and it's awesome. Also seems to me that a bunch of people are mad just because they heard Incontrol's strong opinions on the subject (not just here, reddit and other forums as well). I respect Incontrol a lot, but I wish people would stop citing him as their own opinion and bother to go out and look up stuff for themselves instead of going with all this second-hand, hearsay stuff. It's not that LastShadow is a perfect flower of nice-ness and the most gosu player ever (because he's clearly not), but I think as awkward as this situation was, it's been blown out of proportion. Let's try to not have another Destiny/Orb situation here. | ||
