Things haven't changed that much. This is a stupid, incorrect mindset. Here's a newsflash, at the lower levels, ANY race can "A-MOVE" to wins, because the lower levels are filled with poor macro, and a larger army alone will win games. There are countless discussions, threads, and vods of players sitting at home massing probes/drones etc and then moving out with no micro at all. In fact, there was a thread about a guy making masters league only 1-aing mass stalker, without ever microing, ever. The lower level problems aren't the race, it's the quality of player. In the lower levels, no race is "simple," or those players would be out of bronze league. Please do not bring your balance whine into these threads. Obviously we're not talking about bronze noobs here. These are still high masters players on KR with GM level macro and map awareness. When Protoss players go 9-1 amongst a relatively new player base I think that definitely shows something about the initial learning curves of the races. I definitely think those stats are going to even out when the Zerg and Terran players get better though. Agreed. That's kinda all I was trying to get at. As it is, assuming that all of these players have near-impeccable mechanics (which they all kinda do), it seems that Toss is easiest to play for them right now. It's important to note that these Toss players are smart enough to use ff's properly and to get their AoE damage out quick and enough not to get crushed by Terrans with stim timings/drops too btw. Shows you that these guys are kinda special cuz they skipped that Gold-Plat level play weakness haha I REALLY hope that all of the Pros don't switch to Toss all of a sudden just cuz they want to get better faster. We really need a lot of good zergs to start playing and also I don't want Toss to get nerfed cuz of the Proleagues :D The Terrans will catch up fast.

I've watched JD vs Sun, Flash vs Effort, FBH vs Reality, Effort vs Motive and Roro vs Stardust. Any other recommended games? And based on today's games, does anyone really look like a really good SC2 player at the moment (looks like Effort and Motive are like really good)

At least SKT vs T8 does. | ||

Soulkey also seemed to know the game pretty well, he just made some wrong decisions in a base trade.

On another note, very impressive how good these guys are given the amount of time they've played. I was particularly impressed with some of the decision-making, like when they would retreat from a fight to retain their advantage rather than pressing forward in an unwinnable fight.

Cheeses tend to be better when you know your opponent. If you have no idea what to expect, the normal thinking is to play standard. For example, every single protoss I believe went robo quickly, for that quick observer for a very safe style. Whereas you see a lot of tosses skipping them in GSL and foreign tournament. And it's also the same in BW when protosses play. But in a new, unfamiliar situation, the players felt they should play safe rather than risky. Of course, given the protoss imba so far, I wouldn't be surprised to see some 2Rax and 111 play in the near future.
