I was also pretty confused, I thought it'd be better to unburrow right under the units rather than in front where they can get FF'd. Then again, I think Lizzy already had blink and could've used it to gain some space.

Pretty boring :/ a lot of them are, but these bw players play a lot more passive than usual, but it depends on the matchup. tvz is almost always pressure non stop, where zvp is timing based and trading armies. if you watch GSL its a lot more dynamic. watching this is like watching sc2 half a year ago. Nowhere near usual BW standards though, but it's heading the right way, it will get there eventually

It would be a mistake for BW fans to judge SC2 on these games. Everyone admits that they are going to be pretty bad. And protoss in particular is pretty OP in the lower leagues, but tends to be less so amongst top players.

I've been losing some of my interest in SC2 lately, but I have to admit, SC2 in proleague is freaking awesome. BW casters make everything ten times more exciting than it is. Also great camerawork, the team reaction when the mothership started building was great :-p

And that's coming from a guy, who loves both games equally.

The reason that there was only one engagement was because Lizzy decided to forgo a 2 base timing attack and instead take a 3rd. That is basically the point at which Effort gets to go on the offensive and trade armies (albeit cost inneficiently) with the protoss in order to keep his supply down.

so, ACE vs Khan next. Some storkuu in sc2 maybe, or jangbang

well so far Flash's statement on balance seems right.

Not a single Colossus made in these games so far, and we're halfway through todays matches. I wonder if BW players have something against the unit.

I dunno. Half a year ago, I watched DRG and MMA face off on Shakuras in one of the best games in SC2 history :>

In GSL you prepare for a specific player. Here you have to prepare.for the game as a whole - you don't know who you're playing.
Watch MC in MLGs. He plays the same styles as Lizzy, which I think is where Lizzy took his builds from.

Only halfway done. Next Firebathero's ACE vs. Stork's KHAN and then Soulkey and Zero's Stars vs. STX Soul.

Hopefully people wont judge SC2 by new BW players playing it, but by watching yesterdays GSL finals.
This is very epic in its on way tho

That... wasn't very good. The toss didn't have a good build, every time looked at Eff0rt's hatcheries they were not injected, not great micro, etc. Lizzy wasn't bad but he looked more like a ladder player than a pro gamer. They all need to only play one game and after that they will catch up in a few months.
