I have done some statistics from several 2v2 tournaments. I dont have big numbers jet and not 100% accurate, but all 4 tournaments have teams that are mid to high ranked. And ofc platinum up have been used=) so thx here is the NR. And this is how its is. TP vs TZ 21 / 34 TP vs PZ 30 / 42 PZ vs TZ 41 / 40 PP vs anything 15 / 34 ZZ vs anything 14 / 29 TT vs anything 4 / 10 (have watched over 300 replays.... omg) I have made how many times TP vs TZ on all diffrent maps too but that NR is to small. But I can say this so fare. Don´t play TP on molten crater! don´t But TZ vs PZ looks kind of balanced. TP is having tubbel. but dubbel race have big trubbel where PP is worst off. | ||

PP is very, very map dependent. There are a large number of allins that need very specific responses from both players to hold. Some tournaments limit the veto count or have strange maps. If you haven't already practiced on them you can easily lose to diamonds even if you are top 50 NA. | ||

edit: as others have said above, and I just want to emphasize - I'm not saying PP is underpowered, but they are definitely not being played "correctly" by most people for the current manifold of 2v2 strategy. | ||

A friend and I play pp at top 50 NA, but almost all of our losses come from early allins. I would love to see the proper way to scout and hold them off. | ||

TP is having tubbel. but dubbel race have big trubbel where PP is worst off. good start on some data mining to balance the matchups. ilike how new maps are used too. i would also like to say some maps imho are imbalanced. i think you did a good job of identifying them. i would take out magma core and put in desolate stronghold . thats just my two cents. | ||

To celebrate our 21st Tourney, we're going to participate in our own drinking game. Take a shot if: The overlay is messed up in the beginning. We take time to thank our sponsors... A Protoss goes 1-base Colossus A player/team leaves the tournament before the semifinals If the music is left on during a game. If the casters talk over each other, take a drink. Finish your drink if: We mess up which units are for which player A player/team leaves the tournament in the semifinals or finals. The stream crashes.
