Dick move was to wait for broadcast to start, join game, then pause and request stuff. I guess it was cooler that way, instead of talking with NASL before broadcast started or even before he joined damn game.

Its so disrespectless to Cruncher. And think I was actually feeling sorry for Idra for his 2012. Now I woulnt mind to see that jerk burn and sink Maybe you should read the thread before you say things like this. Cruncher has sniped him all the time. Sniping isn't cheating, FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU It is when you stream peak. Yes, IdrA got the huge ban for calling him a waste of life, but it still happened. Cruncher's name was in the viewer list and everything. IdrA's huge ban wasn't far calling Cruncher a waste of life; the massive 90days ban was for encouraging his fanboys to harass Chill for banning him in the first place I believe the first smaller ban was 3 days; might also have been a week but I think 3 days is more likely..
Ah, my mistake. I remember him getting in trouble with something about Cruncher, though.

terran has been up a CC for about six minutes, and gretorp just realized he has an economic advantage

On a completely different note, sick macro from ThorZain right now

stream sniping and stream cheating are two different things come on guys dont mix them up

I'm pretty sure Thozain was going to push if Alicia had taken a third. When he scouted no third, he just backed up. Also Alicia's observer saw the cc floating over to the third.

If NASL is going to run a season with live games, then they've made that decision with the understanding that there is the potential downside of stream cheating, however unlikely. For them to allow Idra to choose not to play live would seem to be an admission that games shouldn't be played live because of the potential to stream cheat. Idra is submitting to the rules of NASL by participating in the league, they should tell him forfeit or play. I actually can't believe they just let Idra push them around.
It's good that NASL honored the request, considering that other players (particularly some european/korean players didn't have to play live). Your acting like all the games are live. Almost half the games are replays that were played within 24 hours of the cast.

if cruncher made this request would they have abided?

How many minutes is the stream delay? Cause if it's like 5+ then IdrA should've just played live O.o

If that was intentional, that was a dick move. I also think calling Cruncher's professional integrity and character into question on a big tournament stream is highly disrespectful.
And I wonder, would he have done the same thing if he was playing someone like Thorzain?

Even though cruncher probably wouldn't stream cheat, the fact that it would easily be possible for a player to stream cheat to win NASL games is a problem that needs to be addressed. Believe it or not, people do stream cheat in online tournaments, and have done so since back in the days of brood war, and if tournaments broadcast live with no delay, there will be some people who take advantage of it.
the issue is more that Idra waited for the NASL broadcast to go live, have a game start, then pause the game to request that the games be showed via replay
Idra could have done all of this before NASL started doing live broadcasting
it's an attempt to embarrass Cruncher and it also makes NASL look bad because it causes delays and unexpected changes to their schedule

its something he probably jsut realised as he got in the game

the thing is NASL will have to do this for every player now and rightfully so, you can't just bow to idra's requests and not others

IdrA could've requested that the cast would be done off replays before the game started though Point is though that there's nothing wrong with stream sniping on ladder. It is looked down upon by the community, but there is nothing really officially wrong with it. Stream sniping in a tournament is a whole different story. You can't stream snipe in a tournament. -_-
