Since it appears that you are from the USA, allow me to make this analogy: Spanishiwa is like the star collegiate player in NCAA sports: He's really strong in the CSL (think of this as the NCAA), but when you put him against the full-time pros (think of this as the NBA, NFL, etc), he doesn't shine, but he can still hold against the lower-tier pros (Spanishiwa did make the championship brackets at IPL 3 and MLG Providence, which is no small feat when playing part-time). I root for collegiate teams and athletes, even though I know there are better professional players and teams out there, because the expectations for student-athletes and professional athletes are different. He's no DRG, but he is still a pretty good player considering. | ||

The list of players was chosen by averaging the choices of multiple administrators who were asked to create top 10 lists based on CSL performance, tournament results, and ladder. There are definitely other players in the CSL who arguably could be on this list - and that's partially what the coordinator vote is for. The format of this voting is very similar to NBA All Star voting. | ||
