Let me be clear: I don't think MKP is bad. I think he's one of the best players, he might even actually be the best. However, I think it's too early to be declaring him the best, just like I think Artosis was overhyping DRG when he called him the best over and over again. MKP has excellent mechanics and decision making, but he tends to win games with gimmicky and tricky strategies that abuse the fact that terran is hard to scout and properly respond to. He can win straight up macro games, but when he loses it's pretty clear that he deserved the loss. There are better players in specific matchups, like Alive's TvT. I think MKP 'might' be the best overall, but I think it's too early to declare him as such and announce it like it's a fact. If he wins a GSL soon, I'll agree that he is. Part of being the best is not falling apart under pressure, and MKP has shown a significant failure to do that in the GSL, getting owned hard in the finals when he's made it. | ||
