Why? ...what the hell do you think? Prime probably lost half of their supporters after the 4th game, me included. Prime lost their supporters because MKP disconnected? Did he do it on purpose? Do you know something the rest of us don't? Blame Blizzard for killing Esports. Blame GOM for the regame. Stop being an idiot. This. I think that White-ra would have accepted his loss if he thought he loss, yes. but mkp didn't, and who are you to tell him he did, you don't even have the replay.

Why? Because that regame robbed PartinG of the greatest win in his progaming career. As much as I wanted Prime to win, that game by PartinG was a masterpiece that deserved a win. It just really tainted the finals for me... and Prime was at fault exactly where?
Nowhere, it's not about Prime. It's about restoring balance, or whatever you want to call it. I want them to lose so that StarTale can have momentum again from that complete slap down.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if there was a disc at the end of the last game and Prime were awarded with a win?

It was Gom that decided to re-game He could have said that he had lost... Which he had by a large margin... They didn't ask him.
If they tell him to regame and he refuses, he'll put himself up for GSL ban and shame among the Korean netizens.

This LR has lost all the fun and just created disgust in me. Good luck have fun, will be watching without this thread up =\

You only play to win. So if you could go out and physically hurt the other team's guys intentionally in say football, hockey, etc. that would be fine, because you play to win.
1. He shouldnt 2. They shouldnt. 3. It was probably a terrible call but I see questionalbe calls by refs all the time so its not a huge deal to me. The only difference between this and that is that he had another chance to get the job done and didnt. Is it fair? NO, but he had a lot more of a chance than a lot of other athletes get.

MKP is showing great games and playing his heart out for his team and just doing his job. It's amazing how fickle and disgusting this community can become, if you stop supporting Prime now then you were never a true fan to begin with (I'm rooting for ST btw) but can you imagine how MKP feels? He has to potentially deal with a tainted victory but he has no choice but to play his best. Anyway point your anger towards blizzard/ign/or w/e but not the player.

Huge disaster in the e.sports scene. I dont know what to think. Personally I'm confused how you could think white-ra would put his personal reputation and/or personal ethics ahead of his team's interests. No one in their right mind will give their away a game in a final of a team league even if they would consider it in an individual setting.

How many games in BW got dropped in the history of BW? 1. And that was due to a power outage which was caused by a heater. Even if bnet was 99.9% stable, it means that you'll have a 10% chance of it happening at least once. Even if it was 99.999% stable, the more games you pile up, you'll have dropped games. Probability wise you won't dodge the bullet forever. You'll have dropped games, and every time, it'll be like this. are we talking about what happened today? or do you want to just talk about hypothetical situations in the future? I'm saying that the excuse is bullshit. There was one dropped game in BW and that was literally due to a power outage. Yes, there were regames that were given thanks to hardware issues but because of connectivity? never. So because it only happened once in BW there was no way it could have happened here? You have no way of know what happened there is no reason to take your opinion over that of a tech guy on the scene Your second point is a very fair point. At the same time, I think a probability of a connectivity issue thanks to b.net is far more likely than the excuse that they gave. That is all I'm saying. i have no idea what you are even talking about. some guy said it was an internet issue. i pointed out that they said it was not an internet issue. so, wtf are you talking about? if it was not an internet issue then it was not an internet issue. I'm saying it's very very likely an internet issue that they're covering up for PR, because chances of a random hardware failure in the middle of the match is far more slim than b.net finally dropping a game. Either way, tournaments really do need to deal with this better, especially with transferring advantages over to the player in the lead when the drop happens. It's far better than a 'regame' that'll mess up people's mentality. i have no opinion on what happened. i am not a tech guy, and even were I, i am not at the site, so i have no idea what happened. i am going to trust the opinion of people who are apparently there and know what they are talking about. i am also going to assume that they arent lying to us as part of some PR move. especially about something that can be so easily verified to be false. which do you think is a worse PR move? lying to everyone and then being proven wrong, or admitting there was an internet issue? there's absolutely no way to prove either way. people speculating one way or another is just that -- speculation. typically up to now, drops have happened when one of the players gets spammed and bnet connection is dropped, lan would fix this. but there are dozens other issues that could cause one player to drop from hardware/software glitch on the computer itself, to glitches on onsite switches. most likely however a plug was pulled (or connection got lose) -- if anyones ever been to a live event you know how those machines are connected.

he plays terran, it's always 100% possible to come back from any situation. it may have been a 1% chance, but that's still a real chance. therefore no they should not admit to losing a game where he had a "chance" of winning, sorry.

Actually, wouldn't a reasonable solution to have been to award neither a win, and to eliminate both players?
Both teams still had more than 4 players left.

But even then they could include a replay mode. LAN mode alone is not the issue here. They have all the replays which means they have all the game data they need to continue where they left off. Not sure why Riot can do it but Blizzard can´t. The issue of more complex networks won´t go away. It will get even messier with time.
