Both teams still had more than 4 players left. This is a decent proposal. Then the fans hate the REFS instead of the players. GOM wouldn't throw themselves under the bus, but it sure would deflect a lot of this hate on the players bullshit.
You'll run into a problem when things like this happen during individual leagues, though,

omg SUCH a good decision to go home, but I also like the scvs by MKP, he's in a position to straight up roll his army w/o a colossus out

Holy shit, this is either genius by MKP or ridiculously retarded.
Edit: HOLY SHIT MKP, YOU ARE A FUCKING GENIUS HOLY SHITTTTTTT

Loading from replays seems like a splendid idea. And Dota 2 does have it, so the technology exists. It won't cause piracy like lan possibly could. And it would solve hardware problems too. Someone should make a good post about it so word gets out.

Just going to do my best to stay away from this LR thread for today and especially reddit for the next few days, such needless drama and bickering.

is anyone even watching the actual game up anymore?

OOOF he just lost half of his scvs, bad move by mkp

uncharacteristic micro mistake by MKP

MKP will have haters, it will ruin him. Just a disaster/ these games are probally some of the best ever.
Maru vs july. banshees and ravens with bane mines. I mean best games ever. bomber vs mkp was the best tvt and game in general that I was so emotionally involved in. But wow, it all means nothing. Huge disaster in the e.sports scene. I dont know what to think. WTF who is hating on him? no one reasonable/ respected would hate on MKP and not Bnet for the loss. please stfu about this and move on. yeah lan would be nice but we're not getting it. and btw, mkps fans will always out number his "haters" by probably 10,000:1 Have you been reading the thread at all? There are like 100 posts of people saying how they lost respect for MKP. Just to be clear, a lot of people haven't lost respect for him, they've just become anti-fans. I still respect him, but will clear against him. Lol I've seen lots of people say they've lost respect for ________. (fill in space with Prime or MKP)...........

It was Gom that decided to re-game He could have said that he had lost... Which he had by a large margin... They didn't ask him. If they tell him to regame and he refuses, he'll put himself up for GSL ban and shame among the Korean netizens. as well as his team.
What?! Why would GSL ban him? Why would he be shamed? He would be a hero for showing good sportmanship. Regame was the wrong decision. Prime accepting it was a BAD decision. Their image is totally tarnished now.

I'm saying that the excuse is bullshit. There was one dropped game in BW and that was literally due to a power outage. Yes, there were regames that were given thanks to hardware issues but because of connectivity? never. So because it only happened once in BW there was no way it could have happened here? You have no way of know what happened there is no reason to take your opinion over that of a tech guy on the scene Your second point is a very fair point. At the same time, I think a probability of a connectivity issue thanks to b.net is far more likely than the excuse that they gave. That is all I'm saying. i have no idea what you are even talking about. some guy said it was an internet issue. i pointed out that they said it was not an internet issue. so, wtf are you talking about? if it was not an internet issue then it was not an internet issue. I'm saying it's very very likely an internet issue that they're covering up for PR, because chances of a random hardware failure in the middle of the match is far more slim than b.net finally dropping a game. Funny to see you in the sc2tournaments forum. I didn't know I wasn't allowed to watch big events anymore! What do you think of this: + Show Spoiler +![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/zFpeN.jpg) Isn't it horrible fucking form for them to do this, even if they aren't outright rigging the match? if the only thing in their rules was a "regame" then they stuck to their rules. I just hope all the major tournaments think of a better way of dealing with situations like this. This is how the tournament scenes get better and better -- the problem first needs to surface itself. It sucks for parting but I hope StarTale's loss tonight is at least justified in the future by organizers thinking of better solutions. There IS a system in place. The rule is that in the case of this kind of situation, the game is only a regame if it's impossible to make a call on the winner. Which is NOT the case. Is it really impossible? I think nearly every person I've talked to had a very clear idea that Parting had a massive advantage and probably would have rolled it to victory. My point is: there are better solutions than a "clean" regame to give players who were ahead an advantage, and I hope all the tournament organizers look into them.
I honestly can't think of any solutions besides Re-game, or awarding a win to a player

It seems really silly to pretend that mission-critical services don't exist and that it would be impossible to buid a tournament-quality LAN client that's resilient against failure.
Like take a tip from the systems community in 1970 and allow resume from replays?

If anyone actually expected him to throw the game after the REF'S called Regame they clearly have never experienced a team sport at any level... Do you know how much flak he would have gotten?
