I dunno, pointless rant I suppose, just a tad irritating.
Really map dependent though, on a map like daybreak where its so easy to hide a rax in a proxy location. It should become the norm for players to scout for a proxy rax on certain maps like that using their scout probe.

hero behinds at the beginning remember?? then hero lost 35 workers mid game. Losing his 3rd and robo just added insult to injury.

Can he be Royal Road if he's been in GSL before? =/ Pretty sure he can't.

He's never been in Code S before, which is like the same as getting past the prelims for the first time in the OSL or something.

it was inevitable that once terrans made minor adjustments, the protoss patch buffs would get negated. their race is just superior, they have too many options. now medivacs make forcefields useless.. what next, a seeker-missle/BC late game? hopefully by HotS they figure out how to not allow terrans to so easily exploit weaknesses compared to the other two races.

Code A is a qualification for Code S which is the main tournement. So yes he can

Stop whining. Hero choked hard in that game. Dun blame balance.

Axtually his only win on entombed valley is against...DRG :D

I just want to say how happy I am to so see many old school bw fans are showing love for sc2. Back in beta threads like these were a war zone between tl newcomers and the older guys.

It really annoys me how the casters are impressed by EVERY single thing the players do :D
I SO miss Tastosis

and tell me, who is the Bisu of starcraft 2? Players still fluctuate so badly in SC2 that even someone doing well looks less from it because frankly, they don't have consistent competition. Yet.

Yea, I agree, but just trying to highlight that there was more to it than hero just choking and pulling his probes to attack, he was buying time to save the nexus, but it turned out to be the wrong decision.... It would've ended different if he'd had 2 more sentries to complete that sentry wall, or had his army back 5 seconds earlier....
But that's why we love these games, the result can be balanced on a knife edge and one wrong decision can and will cost you the game

wtf are you talking about.
It's not like picking up units to save them from Forcefield is new. People did this for ages. oO

Hmm but he was also in the GSL Open Season 1 and has been in 3 Code A's before making it here finally.
Thus is anyone who comes from Code A to S for the first time a potential Royal Roader? It's far less impressive than I imagined it to be then if that's the case. I thought it would be a complete prelim -> tournament -> champion flawless run.
Still impressive of course, but I imagined it more interestingly since it was first thrown around for ForGG. Even though you know there had been like 50 previous Code S newbies last year with the same chance.
